Bigger Curry > Dirk.
FTR, I get Cy's point about KP's size, shooting, athletic ability and the potential that comes with it. Still disagree, but it makes sense.
Nah, Dirk > Curry.
Doesn't matter if Curry grows 3 inches.

I'm surprised DX has Porz going #3, but hey you never know Orlando took AG last year at #4 when they were supposed to take Exum.
GS has to get rid of Lee... between luxury tax and his salary they can save $50 M by getting rid of him and not taking salary back. That is a lot of dough.
That said they can probably get Philly to take Lee by using the 30th pick (they need to use it first so timing is a little weird) and their 2019 pick or Ezeli. Don't think they will need to give up Barnes.
Giannis isn't that good. Kind of overrated.
How many times does that highly ranked overrated European player turn out to be better than the top American phenoms?
It's not just #3, it's #3 + Philly. And Hinkie is descendant of Morey, who's always looking at "market inefficiencies". Player skills that are undervalued. Buying wins for cheap.
And one of the biggest potential impact you can draft for is skilled 7 footer. There aren't that many of them on this planet.
So it makes sense to be interested in the highest value potential.
Saric isn't coming over that soon. He'll play 3 years(that's 2 more now) over there until he's off the rookie scale.
Developing 3 bigs is no problem, as there are 96 min to share between them each game and Embiid, Noel and Porzingis would all be interchangible bigs depending on matchups.
We'll find out soon how interested the Sixers are in Porzingis. They also have incentives to score high lottery picks for 2 more years as these 2 upcoming drafts contain serious value at the top.
As for D'Angelo being the clear cut choice at 3:
PGs is the position with the biggest depth in the league. If Russell will become a star before he signs his first big contract, a max contract is inefficient on the market. Having a 27 year old late bloomer on a team favorable contract is better than having a max player who's only slightly better than aforementioned.
If they continue to draft "best upside" I expect them to aggressively attack RFA PGs at some point.
Or they will settle for a defense first PG if they can get a playmaking wing like LeBron/Harden. Teams dont have a lot of games every year to test schemes they could throw at them.
No they don't. Their owner is heavy and winning is the best way to elevate the value of your franchise. If they want to utilize Lee's skillset more next season, they can easily retain him and pay the tax.
That franchise is making money anyways, their value is skyrocketing, one of the best attendances for years.
If they deal Lee to save Money, that would be a Reinsdorf move...
I guess Otto Porter will obliterate him in next year's playoffs.
Well define what you mean by "highly ranked overrated European player".
Born in Europe? Developed in Europe? Playing in Europe before entering the NBA? No College experience?
I could take a quick peek at that...

Yep. He can either play in a deadly soul crushing three man big rotation with Favors and Gobert or you just got yourself a major trade piece many teams would covet. If WCS is still on the board and we don't pick him we've gone full spazz. We could flip him to Boston and get one of their BKN picks and the 15... or just keep him and no one ever scores a basket on us... ever.
Yep, I'd throw so much money at Chip that he'd be embarrassed to say no.Antetokounmpo >>>>> Burke
I always want the best players possible and then have the coaching staff improve their skills and figure out how to utilize those skill sets together. I think he has All Star level talent, and thus would gladly have him on this team if possible. I'd also hire Chip Engelland and hope to have a Spurs level improvement in team shooting. Between that and filling the bench with shooters, there's always a way to figure out how to make talent work.
Sorry if this has already been explained but DX moved him to 2016 but he did not drop out of the draft.......yet.......Did Alpha Kaba withdraw from the draft? I saw there were rumors about it and he's not on the Draftexpress mock draft anymore.

TRADE!!!
I still think Milwaukee is trying to squeeze into the top 12 to get Kaminsky or a concession prize of Dekker.
The Bucks just traded Ersan Illysova.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
Milwaukee has traded forward Ersan Ilyasova to Detroit for Caron Butler and Shawne Williams, league sources tell Yahoo.
And, just like that, the balance of power in the East has shifted. . .
Exactly, and that's why DX said it would be better for him to wait a year.He showed very very badly at the euro adidas thing.
