Following potential 2015 draftees

Will he? Not sure. Can he? No doubt. With his size and offensive ability, if he's willing to work, keep himself in shape and then get an opportunity, I think he can be very effective. I'd be fine with the Jazz taking him in the 2nd. Could be a nice compliment to Gobert and Favors. Low risk, potential high reward.

I watch him last season and it looks like he's moving in slow-motion - but he often played well against the better teams. I was torn and that's why I asked about him - there are some intriguing players in the 2nd round - I feel like this will be a good draft for 2nd rounders - some rotation guys who will be good value picks for some of the teams.

For real, strong source.

We saw Frank Kaminsky come into Wandos with a girl on each arm. He ignored everyone and acted like a jerk. Walked out by himself. #KARMA

Translation: "Frank walked into Wandos with two women. He just wanted to get some food without being bothered and didn't want to take selfies with everybody. Also he left them there and walked out by himself apparently and I'm jealous that he is famous and going to make millions of dollars."
That tweet is just such garbage. Everything about it. Anyone that is using it in any way, shape, or form to assess the quality of a basketball player should forever have their opinions revoked. Offensively stupid.

"I read a random report on twitter that said that so-and-so went to WANDO'S and might have been a jerk or maybe he actually wasn't at all or maybe it was a complete fabrication there4 he bad @basketball no thx."

Solid. Thanks for that, those for whom my criticism applies to.

I'm glad oubre has a dad in his life as it is a prerequisite for the Jazz to like you. I like oubre so this is good news. Hurray for papa's.

Wandos is a big deal. This is a big story. The people of WI are hopping mad about this.

Hey Fish - how you've been with Turner is how I've been with Oubre. Including the finally warming to him. I still prefer Turner but Oubre looks pretty good too. So much parity in this year's draft class. I have no idea who will be good because they all look good. Dear FO, I believe in you.
Oubre was my #1 guy... Then I moved frank up to #1
I hated Turner and now I like him but still not as much as frank and Kelly

To make things easy I just hope johnson falls to the jazz.

Dream draft/off-season:

1. Trade #12/Burks/Burke to SAC for #6 (Hezonja)

Don't know if SAC does this, but they never seem to be able to fully commit to a rebuild like they should & would still be able to get their big man to pair with Cousins at #12 while picking up a player who is ready to contribute along with another player who, despite his struggles, still has potential. I believe they have the cap space to absorb their contracts, which would free an additional 12ish mil. I would also add 2nd rd picks or even the OKC 1st to make it happen.

2. Trade non-guaranteed contracts to BOS for Wallace & Olynyk

Don't know if BOS is willing to part with Olynyk as there have been reports that they have moved on from trying to sign Love, but they may still do so in order to rid themselves of Wallace's 10 mil expiring contract. I would even throw in the OKC 1st (if not traded to SAC) to get this done, & even tho it would use up the 12ish mil saved in the previous trade (leaving us with our original 10-12 mil in cap space), it would fill our need for a stretch big & add another valuable member to our core of young players.

3. Sign a FA PG willing to come off the bench

With about 10 mil still available to use in FA, we should be able to sign one of Lin or Beverly (or whoever) to a reasonable contract. Beverly may be looking for a starting job, but Lin would likely be willing to come off of the bench & serve as a mentor to Exum. If Dante doesn't improve as expected, Lin would be able to slide into the starting lineup for a playoff push.

Exum/FA PG/Cotton
Hood/Hezonja/Millsap
Hayward/Ingles/Wallace
Favors/Booker
Gobert/Olynyk

I know most would prefer to hang on to Burks & see what he can do before moving on from him, but replacing him with Hezonja would be a much better long-term move as Hezonja has all-star potential while Burks seems relegated to the bench due to our current roster structure & would also avoid any potential minute distribution problems without having to part with one of Ingles/Millsap. This seems to be the best combination of focusing on the long-term, while still giving the team an opportunity to be competitive in the short-term without disrupting team chemistry too much.

Sorry if this doesn't really belong in this this thread, didn't know where else to put it.

TLDR: Move up for Hezonja (by trading #12/Burks/Burke to SAC for #6), trade for Olynyk (by absorbing Wallace's contract), & sign a FA PG
12 and Burks for Mario is too much

I was all about Oubre early, I think I was first on the wagon in fact. Then I promptly jumped off after a few bad games. Now I am firmly back on and not getting off again. That said, I've been off the Frank train since the beginning for whatever that is worth.

Right now I like Oubre, Looney, and Lyles with Myles and Payne making up the next tier. Gotta admit I liked Lyles when I watched him play but mostly just cuz Locke likes him. I know, I know.

I REALLY want to like Oubre. His physical length and confidence is so tempting. BUT, his game film didn't backup what his potential screams. Just because a guy is confident, that doesn't mean he can walk the walk. Unless Kansas was just a learning experience and since school he has really developed in his aggressiveness and is more bulldog on the floor, I just don't know if I am buying.

Wiggins looked pretty meh most of they year for Kansas and he is going to be a star in this league. Although he had a few great games. I think Kansas system does not make wings look good for the NBA. Not saying Oubre will be as good as Wiggins but I would be happy if we draft him. So much potential and we can be patient with him.
