Boston wants to move up 5 spots to get to 11.
Jazz would only move up 1 spot to get to 11.
or
Jazz would need to move up 3 spots to get 9.
I'm just wondering what each move would cost?
I think Turner and oubre are the guys that the jazz are most hoping to be there. And in that order (Of the likely guys)I think Oubre, Looney and Dekker are the most likely picks at 12.
If the Jazz really care about getting their first choice of that 3rd tier--Turner, Johnson, Oubre--they should offer 12 + something to move up to 9. Those three guys could go 9, 10, 11 respectively, leaving us to pick from the Wisconsin guys, Looney and Portis, though Booker is also possible.
Thing is, 12 + a player + a future first could get the Jazz to 7 or 8.

Move over Oubre, there's a new cocky sheriff in town

Things Mario Hezonja’s claimed:
• He’s the best player in this draft
• He’s better than Lionel Messi
• LaVine’s dunk contest dunks were meh

What could 12 + their 2 second round picks get? Could that get them to 9? I'm fine including a future first too.
Rumor is both Sacramento and Detroit considering trading their picks. That's 6th or 8th. ...hmm.... leapfrog only to get leapfrogged again.
The Jazz have always traded anyone who shows any remote signs they don't like it here. Ask DWill and Enes Kanter. It makes perfectly sound sense they view a workout refusal as such a sign given his realistic draft range.
The Jazz will not draft Frank Kaminsky.
The only thing I remember was that Exum said LA would be ideal for him. He wasn't bagging on other cities.
You look at Russell, and he probably wants to go to NY or LA for marketability.
Would you rather have Myles Turner or Kelly Olynyk and the 16th pick?

Turner. Rim protection, with the high probability of good outside shooting.

Yep. Workouts should be a very, very small part of the evaluation process. When all else fails. . . trust the tape. Workouts and interviews can give insight into their personality and a better idea of mechanical and technical issues in their games, but not really how well they'll play for you in competitive situations. My personal opinion is that workouts should function to drop a guy on your board, but not raise his stock directly.Yet they drafted both Exum and Hood last year, who refused to work out with the Jazz and traded up for Burke the previous year who also didn't work out for the team... The team doesn't care if they want to work out for the team, if they think the player is the best one on the board they will draft him.
