2015 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

This is a really good two way team. Ewing Pippen Jordan Payton all elite defenders. Honestly I don't remember if CWeb could defend or not.

I remember Webber being a pretty solid defender, just below top of the league, but if he had ever made a 2nd Team All Defense I wouldn't have been shocked (he didn't though). But yeah, that defense is tough - Payton/Jordan/Pippen are all pretty easily top 5 all time defenders at their positions, Ewing is very very good, and Webber is solid too.

The one flaw I see is three point shooting. Very little spacing teams will pack it in on them. Even Jordan works the high post a ton

Yeah. I have some plans for that. :)

Really wanted to get 2 way players as much as I could. I still see a bunch of shooters/scorers left on the board that can help me space things out and fit with the guys I've already drafted.

My team so far. . .

PG: Gary Payton
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Scottie Pippen
PF: Chris Webber
C: Patrick Ewing

Feel pretty good about what I've done in the first 50 picks.

God can we just disqualify Ellis's team now. Lol

I thought Ellis had a pretty good team last year as well: Magic, Ewing, Dominique, Moses, etc. Only naming guys who have been taking, but you get the point. Sometimes in this thing the best team doesn't win, a lot of it is about matchups, imo.

I blame Hotttnickkk for trading him Payton, btw.

I don't think he wanted him. He tried to trade the pick. Had I been around at the time, I'd have made the exact same deal to move up to that spot. Thought I had a better shot of Anthony Davis falling though. Then my vision for my starting 5 would have been complete. Still have some tricks up my sleeve though.

I have no room to talk, lol I gave up value in the West-Stockton deal as well as the Iverson deal with Siro. I finally found the direction that I want to go with my team though.

I was being a bit sarcastic, I totally understood the move. Ellis' spacing does suck though.

Same problem I had in the Current players draft last year too.

I'm a football coach, so I teach my basketball team how to beat the **** out of their opponents. Even my little guys play balls out defense. We can't shoot worth a damn, but somehow we still win a lot more than we lose.

I agree. For what it's worth, I think that Thee Jazz Fan should have beaten me last year, but then I should have beaten Joel's team. Thee's team was so much more athletic and skilled than mine. I played the "What If? Card" to perfection. You can never predict how things will go in the voting.

For the record, I think my team would be pretty damn good in a modern offense with lots of ball movement. Maybe a hybrid of San Antonio and Memphis. Big bruisers down low and guys who can score in lots of different ways at forward and guard. But I do still need a couple more shooters.

A lot of draft to go still. Will be interesting to see all the teams fill out.

Last year I worked my game plan to perfection which was to build the biggest strongest fastest most athletic team from top to bottom. I could handle losing that game in the first round. The thing I couldn't handle was being out voted as badly as I was.

But do you remember our semi-final battle in current players draft? Man was that epic. I think you won by 1 vote or something.
