I'm glad no one on this board is our GM lol giving up on a lottery pick after 2 years haha
Lol not all athletes peak in their first few years, we are a small market we can't afford to draft lottery players and give up on them and let them go....not how small market's build a winning team.Honest question. What has Burke done or shown on the court to give you hope?
Jody gessy always thinks it's ok to yell to other when he can do it too? Shame! Disgrace! He says to anyone that we can trade favors and jazz want milsap and it show that jazz were not even candidates for milsap. Liar! Stop try trade Favors!!! And I know Favors probably thinks same thing about Gessy.

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere except the end of the TB trade partner thread. I remember saying awhile ago in one of the pg threads, that "all this is not being lost on Trey Burke." I know he said in the last day or two that this was going to be his best year.

Show me ONE post where I have advocated trading Derrick? You can't because I have never said that. I have only surmised, based on all the rumors that LINDSEY has tried to trade him the past 2 years.I'm waiting to see what Stifle Towers thinks of this.
I don't remember jody saying that the jazz WANTED to trade favors. Just that there were rumors of a possible trade. (That rumor could have came from an un-jazz related source like an employee of a different team.... Or it could have been jazz personnel commenting on an offer for favors from another team.)Think about it. Jody's source is probably some agent, or someone like that, who heard about Millsap' agent getting a call. I seriously doubt he is the one guy who has full access and knowledge to what the Jazz are doing and thinking. That's what it would take to know both ideas that they want Millsap and want to trade Favors.
But I just do not see Burke making it and I think he needs to go.

Even Bolerjack was on air talking about trading Burke. I was shocked someone of his stature would even mention something like that. Everyone knows it's time to move on.
The author possesses such mastery over the English language that would make The Bard himself cry in envy.
Interesting. I did not hear that. I really think that Burke's days in Utah are limited.

Agreed.Yeah - the biggest mistake Jody made, in my mind, was not confirming what he was hearing from a second source. That happens all the time in sports and trade journalism, whereas it's impossible to even get a piece published without double-sourcing (and having those sources fact-checked and authenticated by an editor.) Doesn't mean that the rumor wasn't actually true, doesn't mean that someone didn't tell him it - but as Hack said earlier, it could have been an agent looking for leverage. No way of knowing - which is why double sourcing is important.
