Summer 2015: FIBA games of Utah Jazz players

You said "as much as possible" which would be the entire 40 minutes.
Yep. Like I said, I would love to see Exum play 40 minutes per game if it didn't effect his health. (That is what you call a hypothetical)

Because playing that many minutes often leads to issues with health I have no problem with him not playing that many minutes and he shouldn't.

Your original question was asking why people were complaining about Exum playing only 20 minutes.
I was simply answering your question with the simplest, most obvious answer there is....... Because we like watching him play so more court time = happy jazz fan.
Less court time = disappointed jazz fan

So what minute allotment doesn't effect health?

Playing 20 mpg in a FIBA game is pretty much equivalent to starting minutes and he is playing in what amounts to a preseason game.

So what minute allotment doesn't effect health?

Well I think the obvious answer would be zero...... But once again, my point was that the reason jazz fans were complaining about exum minutes is because we would like to see him play more minutes than 20.

I don't know what the magic number for his minutes would be that would make jazz fans happy but if you really want the answer to that question I guess you could make a poll.

Cotton's.

Exum/Burke/Neto
Burks/Hood/Millsap
Hayward/Ingles/
Favors/Booker/Lyles
Gobert/Pleiss/Motum

That's 14. I doubt we roll 15 deep when the season starts. That 14th spot will either be a 4th backup (Cotton), another wing for shooting and defense (Johnson), or another backup for Pleiss and Rudy (Cooley or Motum).

Mouth couldnt defend or rebound worth **** though, plus he's getting quite a bit of overseas interest. I would only hang onto Cotton if the FO they intended to cut ties with Burke asap (which I don't think they should).

Our big rotation is deep. No need to give away an intriguing of prospect Like Cotton when the only pg we know for certain is in the future plans going forward. We want Burke out for the most part and Neto is unproven. We don't need Motum.

Why are people complaining Dante only played 20 minutes?

This is FIBA basketball and it's an exhibition game. You aren't going to be playing guys a ton of minutes.

I had no problem with his minutes until the last quarter(especially considering he got into foul trouble in the 3d). I wanted him to get some of the offensive load in the clutch minutes of the game. The game was close with 3-4 minutes to go and it was a perfect situation to give your young player some minutes closing a game.

Just watched Dante through whole game. Don't recall him being scored on. May have missed it but his d looked solid. I like how he contested 3s -- his length and quickness were on display.

Ironically he looked like a man among boys. Australia has no athletes and bigs with bricks for hands.

Wtf happened to bogut? Former number 1 draft pick. I guess when your team wins a title it may be hard to get up for a game like this.

Marc Stein, Calvin Watkins and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, along with Sam Amick of USA Today, Mitch Abramson of the New York Daily News and Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News, all reported on the NBA stars who will be at the camp.

Stein noted Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan may not participate at the camp, despite their expected attendance, while adding Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Chandler Parsons and Kyrie Irving will all be there despite recovering from injury.

The minicamp, which is being hosted from Aug. 11-13 in Las Vegas, will feature non-contact drills and is in essence an opportunity for Team USA stars to reunite and play together once again, especially players like Carmelo Anthony who have been out of action or haven't had the opportunity to play for the national team in some time.

Team USA will once again be the favorite to take home the gold in Rio, as it did in 2012. With a strong cast of players already taking part in team activities and many other big names to follow, Team USA looks as strong as ever and will be expected to dominate next summer.
