Planned Parenthood Selling Baby Organs

I'm guessing that the large % of PP in minority neighborhoods reflects the general lack of access of minority women to reproductive health care. I'm a bit skeptical about the statistic of more black babies aborted than born. It could be true, but it rings more like propaganda than fact to me.

I'm guessing that there's a reasonably strong correlation between income/wealth and abortions. I can think of a number of hypotheses why this would be the case.

I believe, however, that the trends line for # of abortions is falling.

I'm just curious, IF you were made King of the world with absolute power, would you force women with unwanted pregnancies to carry to term and deliver?

What about if the woman was a very poor single mom with 4 children already? What about if a prenatal screen found serious defects in the unborn child, such as a defect that would make it's life miserable and short but would impose significant medical care costs on the parents? What about if the parent was a poor, single mother?

I understand you oppose abortion, but I'm just trying to understand how dogmatic you are about it, or if you allow that there are circumstances where you (as absolute powerful King) would allow it, or if your proscription against it would be universal.

I would pose the same question to others who are staunch anti-choice advocates.

(You may have already answered this in another post, if so, forgive me.)

Fwiw, the stats came from New York, an unbiased report. I'll try to find and link it.

To answer shortly and bluntly because I'm lazy, I view abortion as murder. I cannot support it, unless it is necessary for the mother to live (ie, giving birth will kill her).

I don't know how to link videos off of my ipad so you'll just have to go to this site, but watch this video. Watch the whole thing or start it at about 7 minutes. Look at the "fetus" that they're dissecting. Just look at it. The arms, the legs, the head, the organs. Look at them. This is horrific.

nah rather not.

but if you got a video where they dissect the planned parenthood officails who are in those undercover vids. i'd be happy to watch that. preferably i want them to be dissected alive

A temporary restraining order has been issued preventing an anti-abortion group from releasing any video of leaders of a California company that provides fetal tissue to researchers. The group is the same one that previously released three covertly shot videos of a Planned Parenthood leader discussing the sale of aborted fetuses for research.

The Los Angeles Superior Court order issued Tuesday prohibits the Center for Medical Progress from releasing any video of three high-ranking StemExpress officials taken at a restaurant in May. It appears to be the first legal action prohibiting the release of a video from the organization.

**** the courtsystem

Oh, goodie, another abortion debate. I say make as many babies as possible, so the next generation will have more soldiers to kill more people in our next war. Killing is cool, just so long as it's people in another country that may or may not be in cahoots with bad guys.

Holy crap this is awful. Warning the last half is tough to watch.

Didnt read it all since I dont care about this topic that much but someone sent me this today. Fact check has a pretty good history of being unbiased but I know some claim they are left leaning because of who funds them (https://www.annenbergfoundation.org/) but I find they do a pretty good job.

Did you see the new video? They are blatantly referring to using the "research" umbrella to hide what they are doing.

Also most of the outrage is how evil they are portrayed and heartless. In the above video the lady screams out "Another boy!" While poking the mutilated fetus.

I dont think they are evil or heartless and they way they speak does not bother me, and the key word you used is portrayed. People doing an autopsy or a surgeon working on a patient speak in a similar fashion. Yes, they are blunt about what they are doing and the process and are jaded to their actions more than you are.

We will waste lots of tax dollars investigating this due to republican politicians trying to gain political clout from this but PP will not be convicted of anything. They might slightly change their policies and train employees different.

Again I wish abortions never had to happen in a perfect world but it isnt a perfect world. With the permission of the mother I would rather a fetus be used for something good and research than thrown in the garbage and the costs recouped for the process.

Agreed, its easy (ish) to become desensitized to anything if you see it enough. You know whats worse than abortion? Having a baby you don't want and it having to live a **** life. Until all the adoptable babies in the world are adopted and there is a shortage there is a need for abortion.

Always makes me laugh when I get a notice that "Beer" liked your post. Thats all I ever want is to have Beer approve of my life, it's my only friend sometimes. Its nice to have Beer like me as much as I like it.

Its a good user name, well chosen sir.

You're right beer, it is easy to get desensitized if you see it enough. We saw it happen in Germany a few years ago. Nothing unusual, just getting rid of lives that a certain amount of people didn't think were humans, or "pure".

Interesting factoid: women who get abortions have a suicide rate that is 152% higher than other women who haven't. One would have to be curious as to if there's a correlation there.

3% of all Planned Parenthood’s activities are abortions, and more than 90% of those are in the first trimester.

Are you on drugs? So by your logic I should go into the ghetto are start killing every 5 year old I see?

Go find a 5 year old with a "****ty life" and give them the choice of continued life or a bullet in their head. I'm excited to hear the responses.

What gives you the right to make their choice whether they can be born and have a shot at life?

It is sincerely troubling to me the way that many people view human life. Apparently it has little or no value based on whether you're "wanted" or not. Has there been any discussion as to the simplicity, availability, and effectiveness of birth control for these women? Isn't that what PP is supposedly all about? Or do we just fall back on ignorance and shrug our shoulders? I know that generally the "if you don't want a baby, don't have sex" argument is frowned upon for some reason, or circumstantially irrelevant, but can't we shout "if you don't want a baby, and want to have sex, take the necessary measures to prevent pregnancy". Pills, condoms, patches... for heaven's sake, even pulling out... What about instead of offering abortions, PP started offering elective sterilization? Then you can go have all the sex you want without ever having to be "inconvenienced" by a child. I can get behind that.

This whole topic leaves me utterly appalled and disgusted at our society's focus on selfish pleasure and dodging natural consequences at any cost (and I'm not just talking about the whole sex-pregnancy-abortion thing).

HOLY COW. Did you not read the post just above yours? Apparently not, or if you did, your reading comprehension is pretty deficient.

Here it is for you:
3% of all Planned Parenthood’s activities are abortions, and more than 90% of those are in the first trimester.

Almost all of PP's resources are directed towards providing healthcare and gynecological services to women, particularly PREGNANCY PREVENTION services

You're probably not stupid but that was a stupid post.

There is a pretty significant difference between a 5 year old and a blob the size of a blueberry. IMO if you're going to have an abortion you should have it in the first 3 months, the sooner the better. If you make it to the 3rd trimester just have the baby and give it up for adoption, but it better be a white baby or MAYBE MAYBE MAAYYBBBEEE a cute little black kid. If its a mexican or an asian it can pretty much look forward to foster care for the next 18 years.

Abstinence is obviously best, but I'm a realist and I know thats not a realistic option. Never has been never will be. BC needs to be easier and cheaper to get, although its pretty cheap and easy now but it could always be better. As a last resort a first trimester abortion is better than an unwanted child.

I would never be involved in an abortion but I'm not going to judge someone that chooses to.
