Official Utah Jazz 2015-2016 Pre-Season Thread

Does anyone else notice how Hayward almost never says anything good about Burke? It's a few days into preseason and Hayward is talking about Neto and calling him "Wolf" like they are best friends, complimenting his play during training camp. But really throughout the years I struggle to remember him saying much good about Burke. I really get the feeling Hayward doesn't like Burke at all.

And on the flip-side, does Trey ever talk about Hayward? It seems like nearly everyone compliments Hayward other than Burke.

if you were the best player on the team and you kept watching a slow midget dribble the ball for 15 seconds and jack up ludicrous shot time and time again instead of getting you the ball how much do you think you'd like to talk about the other guy ???

It was sarcasm directed at those who say Hayward isn't a #1 option. I could argue SA hasn't had a #1 option in years!

fishonjazz gets me; he really does! Brings a tear to my eye and a warm fuzzy feeling elsewhere.
Always have liked you bro.
Great poster

I get that feeling about Burke and the team in general. You see Gobert, Favors, Burks, Hayward, Booker...all messing around on twitter. They seems like friends in addition to team mates.

Burke just feels like a round piece in a square hole to me.

Think you got your shapes reversed in that saying.

With the way they are talking up Neto, it's seems a near guarantee he is at least above Cotton on the depth chart. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the Day 1 starter.

Well, given the pegs and holes are equivalent size like they are in the analogy, circles can fit in square holes and squares cant fit in circle holes.

This is why people call you contrarian. Because you try to argue/debate/correct over every single thing. Even when it is pointless and dumb. Have fun debating this unimportant topic that doesn't matter.

Uhhh... sorry. Just trying to let you know the correct way to say something. It isn't a debate at all, it's just the way the idiom is said. Forgive me for trying to give you a heads up on something, I'm such a contrarian.

Round peg in square hole actually is a better fit than square peg in square hole.

And wasn't the original of this side tangent being Neto is a better fit than Burke? Burke can fit but not very well.

I said what I said on purpose.

You don't have to give me anything. Your opinion is irrelevant.

Good day.

It's not an opinion.........

There is a way to say the idiom, you said it wrong. Don't be the kid who runs home crying with the only basketball from the playground. Nothing like seeing the butthurt.

Uh...You may want to take a remedial geometry class. Assuming size = area of round/square side of peg, neither a round peg in a square hole nor a square peg in a round hole works.

Wrong.

Assuming 100 square inches for each a square and a circle, the sides of the square would be sqrt(100) = 10 inches each. The diameter of the circle would be sqrt(100/pi) *2 = 11.28 inches.

Right. So, the round peg doesn't fit the square hole.

The square peg is 14.14 inches from corner to opposite corner (sqrt(200)), and doesn't fit the round hole.

This isn't rocket science, Cy.
