What's new

Utah Jazz @ Miami Heat - 11/12/15 - 5:30pm ROOT

Even if he were a rookie (he's not), that doesn't mean his play hasn't be CJ-esque.

Tonight he scored 10 points on 14 FGA.

4/14 FG, 1/5 from 3, 1/2 from FT

I wouldn't call it CJ-esque. Maybe from a pure stat sheet view, but he just playing a very inefficient style that relies heavily on his mid range game and on push shots in the paint.

I have the sensation Hayward wants to play hero ball down the stretch. Jazz have to play team basketball at the end of the games too.

That's cool, now answer my question if you may.

Our ceiling is championship. A top 10 defense and top 10 offense is what you need to be a championship team and we can get there. The rest is just luck and getting hot at the right time and having good matchups in the playoffs.

You heard it here 1st folks...

And may I die happy if that were the case!

I think that if you can't get straight who's a rookie on your favorite team, you shouldn't be able to debate things about said team.

Last game was Mo Williams, this game Tyler Johnson.

Bench guards tearing up our perimeter defense.

The complaints about "so and so should have taken the shot since so and so missed it" are ridiculous. Our team needs to function as one and whoever has the shot takes it.

Why are other's people opinion "ridiculous"? They might not be valid or lack some rationale but that doesn't mean your logic is better

Was in a thread with mostly heat fans, they were furious the entire game.. those runs the Jazz ripped off early in the game really seemed to set the tone.

Was a great game IMO. I love that style of play. No weak **** at the rim allowed!! Favors was regulating **** out there. Whiteside had his moments, I really thought 2 of the Whiteside blocks, possibly 3 were unnecessary.

The play where Hood tried to lay it up with his right infront of whitside, was ghastly... That was one of, what i'd call "know your personnel moments". Burke got blocked I thhink on the left side of the lane trying to sneak near the basket, that was unnecessary too. The turnaround 18-footer that Favors shot and was rejected was kind of a heat-check, I'm not gonna complain about that one too much - he played great.

I'll also add, Trey Lyles can't bite on every pump fake like that.. I wouldn't write him off though. Chris Bosh is a terrible matchup for him, but it's a good he's getting his feet wet -- It's not like Bookers doing much better on offense anyway.

I think the opinion of hindsight saying a player should have shot it is ridiculous. The funny part is that the player everyone was calling for (Burks) got the ball the very next possession and got a layup blocked. If Hayward hits the jumper, or Burks makes the layup, the Jazz win the game (if all else stays constant). So neither player made their clutch shot, so people start saying "Favors should have taken the shot".

It's all hindsight. Both Hayward and Burks had good looks, they just missed.

Neto, Booker, Lyles. Game in, game out, these dudes do nothing. Can't beat good teams getting nothing from three of your rotation players.

This Neto is killing our first quarters. When he is on the court with Gobert or Lyles you have two non offensive threats. Makes it tough to get into a rhythm. Booker is sucking... It's time for a reliable third big. God damn I wish we had Bobby Portis right now. Normally I love watching the rookies play. Lyles gives me nothing... Nothing. Nothing except gawd awful defense.

Statistically, it's been very similar to CJ numbers. Stylistically, they're not exactly the same, but he definitely plays more like CJ than any of our other wings.

The point is that Hood is in a major slump to start the year.

So KD's Framily? Where are you? Hayward was dominant on step backs and fadeaways last year. Short memory? Didn't watch Jazz games? Pick your excuse.

Good lord man. Did you even bother to check the distances on the results?
