What's new

Following potential 2017 draftees...

De'Ron Davis is an interesting player, he's one of the prime 4-star examples I'd use to show the depth in this class.

One of the lesser services used to swear by him, had him in the top-10 for a long time, they finally fell in line and dropped him to #40. So I've always kept an eye on him.

IIRC he's got a 7'3" wingspan, and he's somewhere close to 6'9". If Thomas Bryant stays that front-court could be pretty formidable, those are NBA sized bigs.

He's similar to the UNC recruit Bradley, but I like his chances at making the NBA more(depends on just how tall he is obviously). He's kinda like a watered down version of the Derrick Favors, he's no that kind of athlete though. He's almost got some Cliff Alexander to his game but he can shoot the ball, he's got a decent touch, looks like a good set of hands, he's passable in many areas for sure, he can possibly extend his range(not the skinnier D-Favors in HS), I could see him declaring before his Sr. year (in a best-case scenario). He needs to work on getting off the ground quicker, that'd go a long way for him.

I like his game better than Schnider Herard. For sure. There's gonna be at least one really damn good bigman thats rated 4-stars, I can't quite call it. Javin DeLaurier would be my pick, but I'd have him rated 5-stars.. I like James Banks the Texas recruit more than Herard and Davis. Abdul Ado is a name to watch though, he's a defensive/rebounding maven, and lost at sea on offense - I still like his game though, looks like a damn good project, he's pretty agile/shows nice body control for 6'11.

Charlie Moore to Memphis. Nice pull. Their best PG recruit since Joe Jackson (IIRC) He'll definitely win the starting job.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @EvanDaniels No. 1 PG De'Aaron Fox has verbally committed to Kentucky, he told Scout

I've outdone myself with the Fox call btw, by far the best one I've posted here. There's not even a close 2nd honestly.. So.. my Jazzfanz career has likely peaked, I'm probably already in decline.

I won't be able to replicate that kind of result again, not in that kind of time-frame, with that much conviction. He's rated 100/100 in my book btw, the Wiggins of PG's, he can guard SG's but he's truly a Floor General.

Fox convinced all the services he was the best in this absolutely loaded class of PG's too.. I'm certainly not the only one saying thes types of things about him. I posted it when he was much lower rated though. When his recruitment was mostly local..

This is precisely why I root for Coach Cal and Kentucky BTW -- The cream always rises to the top.

Was hyping Briscoe here before he got offered too, that's nothing like this though. Fox is gonna be a franchise PG - there's no doubt about it.

forgot to mention T.J. Leaf to UCLA yesterday. He and Lonzo Ball on the same team is gonna be problems for teams out west... They've now, easily, got one of the best classes on paper in 2016/2017

Straight outta Compton?

why is Charlie moore name mentioned in a draft thread. He has ZERO chance of playing in nba other then in the summer league. Going be a solid college player who will go overseas but He is less athletic then Trey Burkes and Trey id say is the superior athlete compared to hjim

This may very well be the best recruiting haul of all time. And it's done.

Fox
Monk
Gabriel
Adebayo
