Dude was freshman of the year in the ACC. He had to play next to a very similar player who had seniority. You're talking out your ***.
Reading the Net's board a few things jump out about Favors.
Good defender.
He can recound now.
He finishes strong.
Is a good person, hard worker, coachable
Reguardless if he is a star or not I'm excited to have a player like this on our team.
I think he will complement our current bigs well.
This season is a wash, play Favors!!
KOC just said the trade had nothing to do with the Sloan situation. I WAS WRONG, EVERYONE, SORRY
eh? That's hardly true.ACC Freshman of the year means nothing.
That does make you wonder why the hell they got rid of Sloan too, huh? If they are willing to trade Deron.
Pull my other leg and it plays "Jingle Bells"
I was willing to believe all the crap that Jerry leaving had nothing to do with Deron before.
Not now.

ACC Freshman of the year means nothing. The guy was 12 and 8 player, and did not even lead his team to be ranked. His draft position was unjustified. Yes, he is a young talent, but that's all. He has potential, he has not proven anything in NCAA nor NBA.
eh? That's hardly true.
I mean, Michael Jordan won ACC freshman of the year averaging 13 ppg...
Do you have any clue about g tech, their system, personnel, and such for the one year he was there? i didn't think so. If you did, you'd be singing a vastly different tune.
I don't give a darn about their system. I do know Favors' talents didn't help them to get ranked and when he switched Nets, he has continue to be sub-par. I am not denying that he has talent. But the guy has not proven anything. Cousins, whom Nets should have drafted instead, actually proved something in NCAA, and is doing so in NBA. Favors does not, and I don't know that he will. It's a huge question mark right now whether he will be anything more than a bench player, not to mention a star.
For all those haters of the trade out there, think about this; Jazz got rid of an attitude problem for the 3rd pick in the 2010 draft (Favors), more cash, a deeper bench, and draft picks for the future! I say great deal!!!The Jazz more got more chips to do trades with now, with Favors, Millsap and Jefferson at power forward. Put anyone of them with one of the draft picks and you should be able to get a good shooting guard, which the Jazz definitley need. Keep the Nets pick for the coming draft and get a defensive center. Bring Ante Tomic over next season and you have the draft pick center, Tomic and Fes (if we resign him) to man the center position. You have 2 of the 3 of Jefferson, Millsap, and Favors at power forward. I would keep the size and trade Millsap. We complain constantly about not having the size to match up against the La
So does Utah's long term future contain??
PG - Fredette???
SG - Other lottery 1st rounder
SF - Hayward
PF - Favors
C - Tomic
