Following 2016 potential draftees

This plywood looking floor at the Pearl Harbor Classic is pretty funny looking. Terrible glare. Oklahoma looked great though, and Nova picked the wrong night to go 4/32 from 3.

Dillon Brooks & Chris Boucher are balling once again. Boucher's 2/3 from 3, with 9 boards, 2 blocks, 2 steals ¾'s thru the game.

Swanigan with a nice stat line. Their bigs can really pass it.

Handful of great games on the schedule tomorrow!! #6 Maryland is favored by a whopping 1 point vs Unranked UConn.

Guys...

Am I the only one around here underwhelmed by the 2016 crop of draftees so far? Simmons is good but can't say he'll be GREAT without a jump shot. Jamaal Murry isn't fantastic athletically. Brandon Ingram isn't a good shooter. Scal doesn't look intimidating to me. Dragan - no outside shot, can he play in the NBA? Kris Dunn is shooting 24% from 3pt line...

And that's your top 5-6.

Good thing we're gonna make the playoffs this year I think...

If you think Ingram can't shoot, wait til you see Jaylen Brown(#6 in DX's mock)! He can't seem to keep himself out of foul trouble so far either.

As a Jazz fan, I like this crop, it's good enough to where they'll have plenty of chances to find a sleeper somewhere in the teens, and possibly in the 2nd round. There's some players who appear to still be in the early stages of their rise (Wade Baldwin IV, Patrick McCaw) It's definitely too early to call at this point. Pretty sure these mock sites still didn't have D'Angelo Russell listed at this point last year.

Skal used to be even skinnier, he's still adding good weight, and he's still breaking bad habits. He's shown plenty of progress improving his body in the last year, so it'd certainly be unwise to judge him over this small sample size. He's got the talent, there's no debating that.

TBH - Skal's a perfect fit next to a big like Derrick Favors.

Id take Nunn over Murray

Nunn going be a Russ type player. He can fill up the stats

I guess this is some sort of fused message? Dunn over Murray? but you wanna hype Kendrick Nunn as well?? Kendrick looks like an interesting player, it's easy to see why these 6'3"ish combo guard types get overlooked. Nunn was very impressive in the Illini victory I watched on replay yesterday, they can upset some teams if he plays like that. He's shooting a great % from 3 on 8 attempts per game..

Malcolm Hill on Illinios has a chance to get drafted in the 2nd round this or next year too. An NBA team will certainly take a flier on him.

The douche is an Illini fan. So, yeah... Nunn.

Illini fans know their teams well, at least the ones I've met in NY. It's respectable.

Nunn is certainly worthy of mention here, His Jumper is the reason why, he fits the profile of a winner too.. A good player comparison is probably a better Willie Warren..

He's only played in 4 games but the Western Carolina game where he dropped 27 was quite the showing, I'd say a clear sign of things to come.

I wouldn't mind if Utah used a 2nd round pick on him, there's certainly upside if he fits in. Small-ball lineups getting more burn is conducive to these(undersized SG)combo guard types getting advantageous minutes. They drafted Olivier Hanlan last year, there's similarities to their games.

Kendrick is from Simeon HS(Derrick Rose and Jabari Parker) Their always loaded, It's good to be the top dog in the middle of a recruiting hot-spot, he won the State title every year in HS. Nunn also played for Team USA in the summers of 2011 and 2012 winning gold medals in Mexico and Lithuania with the U16 and U17 teams.

Am I the only one around here underwhelmed by the 2016 crop of draftees so far? Dragan - no outside shot, can he play in the NBA?

He is shooting 50% from 3 in the Israeli League albeit it is a small sample size, but yes he will be able to play in the NBA. One wonders what his numbers would be if he were playing in college instead of playing against grown men in the top league outside of the NBA.

Check how he moves his feet 0:30. He's a legit 7'1" and one of the youngest players in this years draft pool, easily.

He's got a case to be the #1 pick.

Strange.. I looked on DX last night and it showed him shooting 14.3% from 3's and 44.4% from 2's... in EURO games (6 games).

Edit: Just saw that he's a career 27% from 3's (155 attempts). Not bad but also not THAT good?

I know everybody is taken by Ben Simmons, but Skal Labissiere and Dragan Bender are the most intriguing prospects for me ATM.

So a big PF comes along who might actually be able to play SF, and KKK decides to dip on that whole "lets turn a PF into a SF" thing? This has to be a troll job, right?

Jonah Lomu
This is tragic loss and I cry for days for Jonah. Rest in piece Jonah!

How are you cope my friend?

Simmons is a PF?? LOL .. news to me.. have always thought he's a natural SF first and foremost... He's too slight in build to guard the likes of Favors, Randolph, Dirk, Gasol... IMO

He is 240 lbs and is 6'9/6'10. He has the body of Blake Griffin as an 18 year old, of course he is a PF.

IDK about slight. Simmons is one of the more jacked Freshman you are going to see. Dude's going to be big in a few years.

I selectively used his Israeli League numbers and not his Euroleague numbers which are not as good, but he gets more playing time in the Israeli League games which helps him to get his shooting stroke going.

Malcolm Hill is a 4 year college player then off to Europe. He can score the ball but this is whats going hold him back from the league

-Awful defender. One of the worse I have ever seen.

-Slow laterally. Really slow

- Has a bad attitude. Thing have been brewing awhile and other game he had to sit for the start of 2nd half.

OK but with his playmaking skills I'd much rather have him top of the key, tripple threat position, handling the ball, making plays for others, than stuck in the key demanding it.

I might even play him at the point for a year ala when LeBron first came into the league and let him lose with 3-4 shooters playing with him spacing the floor.. LOL .. would be fun to watch what he can do.
