150 Terrorists invade Oregon

#polkhighfootballrules
Well done.
The only nfl game I have ever been to was in Seattle. Seahawks vs Atlanta falcons (I was a big mike vick fan).
At that game I saw a dude in a #33 Polk high jersey with bundy on the back. That dude was my hero.

Michael Vick sucked that game and afterwards I heard a dude say "Ron Mexico sure looked like crap today." Lolololol. (Not sure if you will get that reference)

Babe, I'm sorry but a lot of what you talk about are conspiracy theories, I'm not gonna convince you and you aren't going to convince me so I'll leave it at that. LaVoy was not murdered by police. There were several issues that led up to him being killed, there is also no proof he was shot and reaching for a wound and eye witness accounts from others inside the truck have been a pretty far stretch. LaVoy did several illegal things all while giving threatening statements throughout the occupation and left a law enforcement officer to make a split second decision in a tense situation. Does that mean by the video I don't think things could have been de-escalated and a mans life could have been spared? No. It's sad he lost his life, but he put himself in this situation, and I was not in the officers shoes who had to make that decision, so I will not side with someone who disregarded law and law enforcement that put himself in a bad situation.

Lavoy was shot 9 times and was found with a stolen gun on him. Can you say cover up? Why would that dude have stolen gun on him unless it was planted. The FBI has been beyond inconsistent in their story imo.

I heard the stolen gun info as well. But as far as I know it is unsubstantiated. Might be true but might be a lie. But at this point some people are taking it all as truth and are pissed about this.

Not too bad for a propagandist rant.

Thomas Jefferson loved his black mistress and her kids, and I think didn't really like "slavery", more of just following the norms of the farming business somewhat, imo. Wasn't he on the side of abolishing slavery? Washington had some slaves too, btw.

I think it's OK to recognize some particularly "American" Presidents, and I don't think that doing basic statism in a better way is progress, btw. The wonderful things we have done together consist, in my view and some others, in the accomplishment of creating an inherently limited government. I wouldn't go so far as to honor successful "collective" enterprizes aka Corporations as our pre=eminent achievements, though.

A $100 bill with "Chevron" or "General Motors" would be more appropriate for a country largely run by corporate interests, however. The idea that we the people have anything to do with it is just some kind of smoke and mirrors the corporate media blows up our arses continually. . . .

For me, the only way to break that hold is to reduce the power of government so it's not worthwhile to be corrupt.

/pro-individualist rant

If you have a slave and you have sex with them then that person is your sex slave(not your mistress) and you are a rapist. If you fail to free your progeny from slavery when you have the power to do so then you don't love them.

Srsly T. Jefferson was an important American leader, a revolutionary, a great political thinker, a slave master, a rapist, and a deadbeat dad. Deal with it.

How old was Finnicum? My father was from Kanab, pretty small town. Wonder if they knew each other.

My father's closest sibling (he was the 8th of 9 kids) married into the Bundy family. I used to spend a couple weeks every summer with my Bundy in-laws and one year we went with them to "Bundyville" for the Bundy family reunion.

Killed the day before his 55th I believe.

You weren't there, and you didn't know any of that except some historical revisionist working the beat wanted to make the story out like that. I read some of the black descendents personal takes on it.

You pay a market price for a field hand and you need the help, and then you don't stand on the whole "ownership" idea or force the relationships, and sometimes it could be a mutual thing. You live in a culture where you just don't go on facebook with it and make a show of it. Jefferson hated organized religion because he believed each person could have his own internal conscience and belief, and you shouldn't really have to be compliant.

alt, I find that the crop today of SirKicky type believers in social justice really hate people sometimes, or at least cannot bear to recognize the validity of another point of view.

I don't really care much about Jefferson. He could have been just another human with a whole set of inconsistent beliefs and actions who happened to have some influence in his day. It doesn't matter what he was. It doesn't matter what Hitler was, either, when it is an idea's merits that I'm talking about. Hitler, and Napolean, and probably David Rockefeller as well, all considered their influence or leadership on the world stage to count more than the ordinary stupid bloke, and were/are willing to let humans die in "the greater good" of having their way with the world.

At the very least, Jefferson expressed some ideas or beliefs that human beings have intrinsic self worth and innate rights to weigh in on their own government.

You dismiss that with possibly unfounded or untrue. . . well, not very well-documented assertions. Is it the idea of human rights you are really contemptuous about. I think so. A lot of pretty smart people have that problem, it is the first reaction to having the sweet delusion that you are right, and that you should make sure others do as you think.

when you attack people with more ad hominem stuff than discussion of principles, you are basically an abusive human being yourself.

You come across like that to me sometimes, most very dedicated ideologues on the left today do that even more than the most contemptible conservatives do.

So your response above I consider pretty worthless, and I know you are capable of doing better.

Few years younger. Sure they knew of each other. Kanab is pretty dang small.

I'm kinda impressed you know Kanab and Mt. Trumbull and some of the folks down there. And you're still willing to defend this country, even knowing what kind of people are here. rep worthy.

What's impressive about knowing Kanab? Like, it's interesting landscape, and it's a nice little place. That's where my family on my father's side comes form. They settled that area. I don't really know Mt. Trumbull, When I'd visit my cousins they were in Fredonia. AZ.

And are you saying that you're surprised that I'd defend this country knowing what kind of people live in Kanab?

Well, I would not have been in that situation whether I was a protestor or a policemen/employee. I don't need a gun to make a point.

Sorry you won't read the UN links or Smithsonian links to the grandiose plans for a wilderness corridor. It's not a "conspiracy theory" when there are literally thousands if not millions of people who like the idea, or when there are definite government decisions and actions being taken in working towards it, with that express goal in mind.

Kicky and many others like him can look at plans like this and think they are good, and something "we" can do, and be proud of. The fact that it is not openly published in the media, or campaigned for by politicians seeking office, suggests that proponents realize there is substantial public resistance that could be triggered. . .

I have a different world view. I like wolves too, and I even want to breed some wolf mix dogs, and coyote mix dogs as well. Some people make a religion of "The Way Things Were", and don't like my idea either. The wild animals face a very steep survival challenge, and one consequence is that their genetics gets more robust, many deleterious mutations not being passed on to succeeding generations.

I like humans. I'm not a conspicuous consumer, and I don't care for a lot of stuff, and I like recycling enterprizes more than mines, say. I think with technological advances we can put a whole lot less harm on the planet. For example, with a new generation of power plants. . . oh say. . .cold fusion? whatever we can invent that can be better. . . and let's say, using a lightweight magnesium-aluminum allow for all non-friction applications in vehicles, that is about one sixth the weight of steel. . .and oh say improved insulation materials and such. . . we could really cut down on the energy. And I like water. I think solar desalination is a better use of a desert floor than mirrors and boiling towers for making electricity. Solar electricity is still a more expensive electricity. Lots of stuff we can do better. Do more intensive and more natural and more water efficient ag so our veggies are healthy and everywhere. . .

I've been hearing the stuff about too much production and too many people for decades. I just think both ideas are the wrong way to go. Ranching, or farming operations, can be helpful for wildlife. Maybe some of the natural ways will sorta die out, but look at the coyotes in Beverly Hills just eating all the excess pets let out into those expansive yards at night. . . I'm not that worried about the wolves. Hell, if the government would pay the rancher for the cows they eat, we could have wolves everywhere. It would be good money, just like the cows killed by cars on the highways. . . .

It's not an insult or anything. I might not like the things you say, but I'll defend your right to say them, believe them or wish them. . . that sort of thing. I am from St. George. Growing up there sometimes I wasn't sure whether it was worse to be a communist or to be from Cedar City. . .. well, at least during the basketball and football games. . . .

I just think there's too much us vs. them categories today in America, and I thought your comments above developed the discussion here in a healthy direction.

Well being from St George is certainly worst than being a communist Babe

Vinnicum shot.
Ammon Bundy Arrested.
Cliven Bundy Arrested on arrival in Portland. Charges will be announced today.

Ammon Bundy's lawyer will be present at the FBI checkpoint where the rest of the "sagebursh rebellion" will turn themselves in.

That might be the rest of what is at the refugee but trust me that is far from "the rest of them".

The longer this goes on, the more likely it is the "rebellion" will be painted as racists demanding their white privilege.

Not over... but it might as well be.
