Go GET Teague

Poorly phrased. Mean they are doing just fine at the moment without Teague.

I see. Ya they are doing fine.

I guess I just would like them to do even better.

I'm happy with the current team but that does not mean I want them to never improve

Don't think they need him to comfortably make the playoffs

I agree 100%
But I think with teague they do better/go farther in the playoffs, this year and next year.

I want to do as good as we can when we get to the playoffs. Teague helps us do better in the playoffs that trey burke imo

If this conversation were about Mike Conley (who I think is the better player), then I could see the concern. Besides playing time and assets to acquire him, there would also be a significant financial commitment to keep him.

I don't see that issue with Teague. He's a solid guy to fit into the starting job for now, hopefully for a low acquisition cost and his contract isn't egregious. The Jazz don't have to extend him. In fact, I could easily see them flipping him (and possibly Burks) to get an All Star player next year. Both guys are relatively young, but have very good experience.

I think your paranoia is unfounded. It's better to have talent when you can get it. This looks to potentially be one of those opportunities.

You are acting like aquiring teague somehow = losing exum.
We can have, and play both.

You replace burke with teague not exum.

Do people actually think burke = teague
No. I'm acting like trading for Teague will cause Exum to not meet full potential. and lose assets in the process. I just view the trade as unnecessary and damaging in the long run.

They've won five in a row and that is primarily due to amazing defense and winning the close game, and I'm guessing that's a factor as to why they have a current 5 game winning streak. I think they are good enough to get the 5-6 spot in the west.

Exactly. No realistic downside

I don't want Teague getting us to the playoffs next year. I want Exum playing 25-30 min at the pg position.

I want favors Hayward hood Gobert, and the rest of the team acclimation to Exum. Not a guy that isn't a part of the Jazz championship future.

Then like you yourself said. You are just being paranoid. Exum would still play allot, still practice, and still be a valued asset to the jazz going forward

Im with ya here. I love the way they are playing right now.
But you do have to look at who we have beat during the streak, and where the games have taken place during this streak. Also we barely beat the bucks and nuggets. Both teams that are not very good.
Teague > trey burke so with teague maybe we are on a 5 game win streak but we blow out the bucks and nuggets.

Maybe you have not noticed but our office has been struggling. Teague would help the offense and we would still have favors and Gobert and the defense would still be top notch

So what if exum sucked next year? Would you still want him to play as much as possible or would you rather have the best team that we can possibly have

They can play teague and exum. Hayward, hood, Gobert and the rest of the team can play tons of minutes with Exum next year even with teague on the team. They could practice with exum too.
I promise you that with teague on the team Gobert hayward hood and the rest of the team would still be plenty acclimated to exum.

Again, having teague doesn't eliminate exum.

Right now we have favors Booker and Gobert... Yet amazingly lyles is still developing and the players are getting acclimated to him.

We currently have Hayward and Burks on the roster. Yet somehow hood is developing and getting acclimated to his teammates.

The Bucks did beat GS earlier and we beat them shooting like ****. 39% I believe. Also we beat the Bulls. Third in the west. Nuggets beat the Bulls frankly put. I'm not convinced we blow out These teams with Teague, and a five game winning streak is hard to do no matter who you've played any NBA team can beat another at any given time. Also we've won 7 of the last 8.

That's great.
So since we are the best ever would you say no to trading burke for steph curry too?

How is Exum ever supposed to be the man if Teague is there being a man. Plus I'm paranoid I value my paranoia.

A. Teague won't be around for very long. Exum is the man when teague leaves.
B. Exum blows everyone away next year because he has improved so much. Bench teague. Start Exum. Play Exum 35 minutes per game.

Boom Exum is the man even after we acquire teague

Im pretty sure that most Jazz fans would have been ecstatic at the idea of trading Booker, Burke and picks for Jeff Teague last year.

Exum will have an acclimation period with his injury anyways. Teague and Neto is SO much better than Neto and Burke moving forward. I just simply do not see the downside of adding a solid young guard who is MUCH better than the guy he will be replacing. I'm a huge Exum fan. I think Quin knows exactly what he wants from him. If he's getting it, Teague will be traded to upgrade somewhere else or allowed to leave as a free agent.

My paranoia doesn't allow me to think this way and I don't expect he will blow up next year, but I'd like him to blow up the following year, and my paranoia is telling me it won't happen with Teague here next year.
