We got Atlantas PG!

So which of the five: Hayward, Hood, Gobert, Exum or Favors do you want traded? Please propose a trade that makes sense for both teams, We know DL pursued Teague and the report was that Atlanta wanted Hood. Would you have done it? It takes two to tango as they say. You can't just be master of the ESPN Trade Machine, move players around and, VOILA! That's a trade that would have been available to DL.

Let's review some of the trades to date
1. Motiejunas and Thornton for Anthony and a top-8 protected pick. No thanks. Motiejunas is in his 4th season. Ok backup. But rather keep a 1st rounder and take a chance at getting someone MUCH better.
2. Tobias Harris - $16M for 4 years for a career 46%/32% shooter. We have Hayward, Hood and Burks. Rather have any of those over Harris.
3. Varejao and Cleveland's 1st (salary dump to Portland) - too bad we couldn't facilitate. Not quite enough cap space. That's the price we pay for having too good of a roster.
Favors and filler (to make salaries match) for griffin?

Nah, we will just hear about Hayward missing the shot vs Duke even more now.
Ya but it was such a tough, pressure filled shot and almost went in.
I think that is more of a feather in Haywards cap than a knock against him

I most like that this trade means that Ty Lawson is not coming to Utah... at least in a trade.

No it doesn't. Burke and Booker could still be traded for Lawson. Most teams carry 3 PG's. Jazz have been operating with two at times and then had Green on a couple of 10-days, Jazz very much could use a starter. I'm lukewarm on Lawson, though. His tweet shows he still has an attitude problem. And after 4 DUI's he still insisted he didn't have a problem with alcohol. What's the chance he makes a complete 180 over the next 30 games in a city he has publicly disrespected a couple of times? Would probably be worth it if they included a 1st, which is not going to be the case, though.

We've upgraded our 3rd string PG. How exciting. 5th spot here we come!

I LOVE this trade. I'm seriously sitting here laughing aloud at DL's awesomeness. Not only is Mack Hayward's buddy, but the guy can dish the ball. He's also a solid defender as well. And we got him for a 2nd round pick! This dude will seriously be useful. Love this trade.

WELCOME TO THE JAZZ, SHELVIN!

Thank you. Thank you. I just felt a twitch of excitement. Seriously.

This is a nice little trade in the sense that Mack is probably a better player than the 2nd round pick would have got.

Still excited. Mack is a great complimentary PG to Neto. While Neto has been shooting the ball better Mack is able to play solid defense and get the ball to people.

I'm not sure if we'll move Burke or not. It sounds like a few teams are interested. Trey scores 12 a game at just under 24 minutes. Not bad for a backup PG.

But: "Tony Jones: barring a great offer in the next 69 minutes, I’m hearing the Jazz are going to keep Trey Burke 1 hour ago – via Twitter Tjonessltrib"

Also, I won't be surprised to see Mack and Burke on the court at the same time. I can see situations where Burke plays the two.

Not when alec is healthy

Exactly. Which is sporadic.
Eh, he was never hurt in college... Or his first three years in the nba.

Last year he had shoulder surgery cause the team management wanted him to get it done. This year he had a freak accident.

I think he will be fine
