What's new

OFFICIAL Postseason race thread *Sticky*

How many of those have we lost with a full roster though. I can't be mad about losing close games starting the likes of Withey, Lyles and Neto

But that's a different issue altogether. Yes, some games likely would not have been close if we had a full-strength team(but then again, who was hurt last night), but this is about what happens once games are close down the stretch.

Trying to salvage hope here .... Basically, going 2-2 on this road trip is now a MUST. Beforehand, 1-3 was what I expected, with 2-2 as a plus. If we go 0-4, needless to say it is over.

Jazz are 2 games back from a .500 pace. They have their work cut out for them, but there's still opportunity to end up with a winning record and a likely playoff berth. That should still be the goal. Gotta get back to keeping teams under 90 points. That's when they have been most successful over the past year and a half.

Went to the game. Worst part of the game was the crowd. From the beginning of the game till the last 3 minutes they were awful. Late to seats, lots of Brooklyn fans. Lots of empty seats, the scenery was awful. I have been to almost every home game this year and this was the worst home crowd we have had all year. I could hear the players talking about how quiet it was.

Also, I get it. They didn't do anything to get the crowd involved, but we always tout ourselves as this great 6th man. It was awful.

Scenery?

Its all over.

I do not want to see this team play post season basketball. They don't deserve to be there.
I hope we will not make the playoffs. I'm fed up with that close loss BS.

Just laughing at everyone who thought this team was going to be a #5 seed. Jazz have a better chance at being caught by New Orleans than even getting to #7, At least we're not "skipping steps." It's very important NOT to have players on the team who can hit shots. That way, when Dumb**** Lindsey decides the rebuilding is over, we'll see Johnson, Ingles, Pleiss, Withey, etc. show their true selves...stars that have developed under the guidance of Master Quin and his staff of Senseis.

5th seed express! CHOO CHOO!

About time you finally got a laugh though. We've been laughing at you for years.

Yep. I'm used to it. I was the first one advocating an AK trade (and got negged a ton). And I've been criticized this season for being overly pessimistic when mentioning the flaws this team has and the reasons I felt they would only contend for a 7-8 seed (or miss the playoffs). Realism now sets in amongst all you Pollyanna's. Please lock your guns in a cabinet. hide the pills and step away from the ledges. It's only ONE season,

When you point out flaws while refusing to see positives it is pessimism. That's reality.

But mostly I was joke giving you a hard time.

And when others point out only positives while refusing to acknowledge weaknesses, what is that? If I were a true pessimist, I would have said the Jazz were on their way to challenging the Lakers instead of having a shot at the 7th or 8th seed. To me, saying they'd likely be a .500 team isn't pessimism; that represents an improvement over last season, especially given the injuries.

No, that would be delusion.

But I digress have fun as I won't carry this further.

I've been gone for a month, but I'm back and it seems like Houston is just as lost as Utah is right now. If the Jazz can go 2-1 in these next three road games then they should be back in the drivers seat for the 8 seed. For the record, I still would rather have the 8 seed and play GS then the 7 and play the Spurs. Anyone else feel like the Jazz have a much better chance against the Warriors then the Spurs? Assuming the wheels don't fall off and the Jazz miss the playoffs that is.
