The real reason isn't the punch. The real reason has been stated over and over and over again.
From Larry's mouth:
It's very simple. After Larry spoke to Rose about the situation, he felt it was not being taken care of properly and so he left.
I've been saying this the whole time. For this to work, there has to be respect that comes from both sides. When one side does not respect the rivalry, then move on.
Utah is the #13 team in the country. They have a shot to win the PAC-12 this weekend. They will be the #2 or #1 seed in the PAC-12 tourney. They have a shot at a 3 seed. Maybe a 2 seed in the tournament.
Here is some tidbits from ESPN today:
Coach K has a player that might be a top 5 pick in the draft. He has a stacked team coming back next year as well.
He has taken a team from 6 wins to a team that should reach the sweet 16 year in, year out.
Why would he take ANY disrespect from BYU? What need does he have for that drama? What value does K have in the game?
There is NONE. BYU brings NOTHING to Utah or Coach K. So, if they treat you like dirt, move on. Pretty simple stuff.

Compounding the problem for me is what I consider to be a lack of remorse after the behavior, both in things said and left unsaid, and I have no reason to believe this pattern of behavior will change on its own.

Because Jakob Poeltl is a monster you should fear
Trust us.
Because Utah just raised its hand and yelled, "We stand out!"
The Utes' victory over Arizona on Saturday was their sixth consecutive win. They've made 56.6 percent of their shots inside the arc, a top-five mark, and they have Poeltl (17.7 PPG, 8.9 RPG). As we stated earlier, he's a monster.
