HoopsHype writer: "In today's NBA Stockton 6th Man At Best"

My doctor told me laughter keeps you young and healthy...My doctor would approved of that article.

Probably the dumbest list I have ever seen. Saying guys wouldn't be good because they are to physical. I actually think Laettner would be better in today's system.

Stock would actually be better in today's game too. I'm not even clicking this idiot's article.

Great article. It was good to learn that Mutombo couldn't possibly deal with Deandre Jordan's elite post play.

And yeah, the writer is a buffoon. It's not just the things he says about Stockton, but speaking of that why is he listing Stockton's career as 1990-1999? Idiot.

What he fails to realize is that they would adapt to the game of today. Stockton was a hell of a shooter. Give him today's offensive rules and he's a 20/15 guy.

Stockton gets labeled as a pick and roll only guy or that he was only good because of Malone by people that have no clue what they're talking about. Stockton made mediocre to bad players dangerous. He shredded defenses with cross court passes for easy layups.

The size and athleticism thing is a joke considering CP3, Parker, Thomas, etc.

Not to mention his 3 point ability. Can you imagine a coach that actually liked the 3 point shot running plays for him time and time again to free him up at the 3 point line? I think he easily could have averaged 24-25 points per game in his prime.

And should we also mention the change in the hand check rule?

Acknowledging this article is beneath us.

I LOL'ed at that one too.

A couple I agree with - Robert Horry was kind of a unique player back in the 90's - there a bunch of guys in the league like him today.

Some of them were never that good to begin with (Vinny Del Negro???)

John Stockton once threw a grenade and killed 50 people... then it exploded!

John Stockton likes his meat so rare... he only eats Unicorns!

John Stockton once flushed a condom... three weeks later the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles were born

John Stockton has already been to Mars... that's why there are no signs of life.

John Stockton got infinity assists twice... the record for assists was after he started to work on his third round...

Lebron James secretly credits his game to his underwear with a picture of John Stockton

John Stockton once kicked a horse in the face... it's descendants are now known as Giraffes

John Stockton farts... Russell Westbrook sniffs it to improve his game

John Stockton made a happy meal cry...

This guy is beyond clueless. First saying he wouldn't be any good without Malone. Wow how insightful. I am sure Magicsucked if he didn't have Kareem or James worthy as teammates. Bird would have sucked without Kevin Mchale or Robert Parish etc. Just a stupid comment to start the article.

Stockton does not get enough credit for his speed. The main reason is because Utah wasn't on TV much until Stockton was losing some of it. But Johnny was both quick and fast in the open court. He could get to the rim on anyone. He just didn't jump out of the gym.

Guys today forget how physical the game was in the 80s and 90s. You could grab and hand check. Today if Stockton played during this era he could have a field day with guys if they weren't allowed to touch him.

I don't care what era it is, GREAT players can play in any era. I guess Wilt would suck in this era too.

Heck I still think Stockton or Malone could play 10-15 minutes a game with some games off in today's NBA.

A buddy of mine sent this article to me. The things this writer says about Stockton are absurd. I feel like he might not have a brain. Thee Jazz Fan, I need your expertise in the dark side to combat this mindless vulgar foe.

Be advised you'll have to click previous a few times to get to Stockton.

I don't want to waste my time reading dumb articles from idiots, and you're the idiot that felt he had to post garbage on jazzfanz.
