Following 2016 potential draftees

realGM has all the stats. Mushidi was the MVP.. Borisa Siminiac a talented 6'10 Serbian big and St. johns recruit Richard Freudenberg were on the all-tournament team.. Along with Rongzhen Zhu who led the tournament in rebounds and looks legit.

mostly good international prospects born in 98-99.. far from the best crop possible though..

Thanks. Serbians I know on the Euro board I am on really like Simanic. He just signed a long term deal with Red Star, but won would think if his agent is any good it would contain some NBA outs once he is NBA draft eligible.

Wow, look at how the new NCAA/NBA rules have impacted the draft:

"91 players were on last year's NBA Draft early-entry list. I already have 112 this year. Bet that number doubles by deadline w/random guys."- DX

see the list here

Good grief, Dennis O'Lindsey may have to workout 200 this summer.

Deadline to withdrawal is May 25th so most of these guys will withdrawal by then, but of course lots of players will make poor decisions and stay in the draft.

so Chieck Diallo is definitely in?? hah.. I don't see how the Jazz would pass on him with all those 2nd round picks.. He's 19, with long arms, athletic and plays with tremendous effort..

I'd almost say he could function as a poor mans Trevor Booker off the bench..

He didn't show anything at the NCAA level. Really needs to go back to school.. So it be just a guess what he could turn into at this point. It be a gamble. Does the Jazz want to take a gamble? that's the question.
Richardson needs another year of school too and he could raise his stock.

Always a few kids who stay in leave your head scratching as to who is giving them advice. Most of the times I think the kids have got to go because they didn't take school serious, So they are left with no choice. To me the NBA needs to clean up and make it like MLB. Can go straight out of high school but if you go to college then minimum 3 years. Would improve not only the NCAA but the NBA game as well.

Here's a list of the guys UK watched THIS weekend (the ones that I wrote down):

2017:
DeAndre Ayton
Mohamed Bamba
Trae Young
Michael Porter Jr.
John Petty
Nick Richards
Brian Bowen
Hamidou Diallo
Kris Wilkes
Kevin Knox

2018:
Romeo Langford
Makai Ashton-Langford
Marvin Bagley

Wow.. Knox is a stud.

Knox is a monster.. I'm sure the reports on Bamba and Diallo were glowing as well..

Seems like there's way too many wings being recruited in 2017 though.. how many can they feasibly get?? those don't seem like players that'll want to be coming off the bench..

You think Ashton-Langford is close to the talent level of Devon Dotson?? I doubt it. Dotson looks razor sharp imo... Saw him at the Dicks nationals

Diallo has been tearing it up, as you know... And Bamba is on a whole notha level...

As far as too may wings... Interesting topic.
Cal seems to get his pick of the litter PG's and close to the same with bigs... but SF's he can't seem to get. He has repeatedly said that before he retires he wants to field 5 starters that are, essentially, SF's.... And play "tall-small-ball."

Maybe?

I heard some NBA talking head say that the NBA will eventually evolve (or devolve?) into the same thing. Five 6'-7" to 6'-9" guys who can dribble and shoot. Switch everything on defense. Swing the ball on the perimeter for offense. I hope Cal gets to try it, but I hope I never have to watch it in the NBA.

Yeah, I do believe Cal is a visionary.. Even if not the best coach... and he said this about 10 years ago.... and believe he will pioneer it.

Better tell Steph Curry he'll be out of a job soon.

Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Isaiah Thomas, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Kristaps Porzingis, Karl Towns, Dirk - the list goes on. All these guys are well under 6'7" or well over 6'9".

Simply too many good players 6'11"+ or 6'4" and shorter.

Someone tell calpri it has already been done.

!989 University of Illinois AKA The Flyin Illini. Had a 6foot5 point guard with Stephen Bardo and a 6foot7 center in Lowell Hamilton. A team that liked to get out and run... So Calpri by all means can act like he would be the first one to do it but infact he wouldn't be. The Flyin Illini had that kind of lineup. Calri is a chump anyway.. Cant coach at all, Is all recruiter. It is why he failed bigtime in the NBA. All that talent he has recruited too and he has only one chip.. I personally do not like him, think he is awful for the college game. He pushes kids out when they are clearly not ready so he can start fresh with new players. Pushed Dajuan Wagner out of Memphis before he was ready and he bombed in the NBA and didn't even have his college education to fall back on. He is a scumbag plain and simple

Norman Powell just played a great game for Toronto. He's their best defender on Paul George...

Coulda had him with the 2nd round pick..

I had hyped Powell up before the draft, Thought he was a first round talent and would be one of those players that was a better pro then college player. Looks like I was right. The one I am all about this year as a steal is Robert Carter from Maryland. I sene you call him a stretch 4 but he isn't. He is one of those guys who could give energy and control the boards off someones bench. His jumpshot still needs work but that will come. If he goes back to school for another year then he would be a first rounder but he will be a second round steal for someone. Not a stretch 4 however, Not even close buddy.imo

Here's one of the names I've been waiting on.. @DraftExpress
7'2 18-year old Greek center Georgios Papagiannis will enter 2016 NBA Draft, sources tell DraftExpress. DX Profile: https://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Georgios-Papagiannis-42344/

If he were to stay in this draft, it'd behoove the Jazz to select him with one of the 2nd round picks..

He'd also be one of the youngest players in the draft... absolute no-brainer if he falls to the late 2nd..

He might be better than Pleiss already tbh..

I wonder if he can shoot from further than 5 feet.

Better tell Steph Curry he'll be out of a job soon.

Warriors kind of already do this with Draymond green at center when they play small ball. What is their "death" lineup? Curry, Klay, Iggy, Barnes and Green?

Thats basically 4 small forwards and a shooting guard.
