I kinda like Diallo. He seems a bit Biyombo'ish. I think he can be a good energy big off the bench. I like Bentil too... both in the second.
That's the key right there.

Apparently he was horrible in the interview process. NBA types did not seem to like him.
Anybody else hating this draft? I feel like it has the potential to be as bad as the 2013 draft. I have very few favorites and a lot of meh players in this one...
He seems like a poor man's Rashad Vaughn to me. And by poor I mean homeless...
Yeah, that draft sucked. Only produced scrubs like Giannis, Gobert, and McCollum.
There are a few of us on Valentine Island. If we did as previously mentioned and traded for Boston's two later first-rounders we could likely get Valentine and someone at 23. And this would likely be a trade Boston would do as they have twelve guys under contract for next season as well as the third pick and five 2nd round picks (including 31 and 35).
I actually hate the top of the draft this year. Not sold on Simmons, Ingram or Bender at all. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Ellenson ends up being the surprise star out of the lottery. Utah only needs to focus on improving Booker, Burke, Johnson and Pliess/Withey on the roster. I feel good about the other 10 players as starters or depth depending on what they can get out of the draft/free agency. Just take the BPA at #12, and then go draft and stash or sell the other picks.
After the "big 3", there's Ellenson, Dunn, Hield, Murray, Poeltl, Brown, Luwawu, Chriss and Korkmaz. Jazz are guaranteed to get one. Don't trade down. They don't need to add more crappy assets (which is what they'll get AND risk losing their guy). With the assets they already have, I'd look to trade up for Ellenson if he falls a bit, and then look to trade Burke (if he has any positive trade value), picks and/or cash to move up into the late first again for an international draft and stash player. Call it good at that, and then look to fill the other 2/3 spots in free agency.
Bentil would be a killer second round pick. Though I think after his combine performance and after workouts, etc, he'll go in the 22-27 range.

This draft is 100 times better at the top than 2013. Simmons is a legit #1 pick and Ingram a legit #2. The 2013 draft had no one worthy of a #1 pick.Out of 60 players it's not surprising to find some good players. I'm talking about its overall quality, and especially at the top.

That's what I'm talking about though. No one wanted to have the #1 pick in that draft; I'm pretty sure every GM would be ****ing thrilled to get their choice of Simmons or Ingram. No one who the majority thought. Gobert and Giannis are plenty worthy of #1 picks.
