We are gonna win the lottery (official thread)

Somewhere a bearded Sam hinkie is in a bar drinking milk Ron burgundy style.

I swear to God I was thinking this before the lottery even happened. Like Eli, Simmons' dad seems, um...involved.

ah i doubt it .. Brett Brown actually coached his dad when he was out here in the 90's for a time. He'll slot into Philly just fine.

They could be frightening pretty quickly. Embiid could still turn out to be an absolute beast

Well I for one am glad that is over. I think the Jazz were fortunate to avoid a top three pick, they are clearly not rebuilding, they are ready to compete so a high lottery pick demanding playing time would just mess up team chemistry and set the team back. Lindsey was wise to say he will probably draft a player to develop. -Stories I tell Myself.

Given the position of the team, I could see us taking any position. I could see us taking an anticipation pick where we have to wait a few years for them to become a little more relevant." - Dennis Lindsey

The Jazz voted against a change to the lottery. Dumb

Srsly the NBA needs to change the lottery odds/expand the lottery selections beyond the top 3 yesterday

Why don't they do the actual lottery selection with the balls and all in front of everyone on live TV? What is the difference between doing it in front of a selective group of people, and the entire general public?

Because they draw for the first pick first and it takes 30 seconds. Less dramatic countdown.

This, it's like they need to hide something.

The actual lottery is posted on YouTube. I haven't seen this year's, and I'm not going to bother looking for it. It's fantastic entertainment for people who enjoy watching paint dry.
