Following 2016 potential draftees

It depends on whether Thon can shoot the ball and play from mid-range. It's looking like he can.

Yeah i hear good things about his shot. He might be a great pick up. Andy Laesens says people question his bball iq because he played so recklessly in high school. If he can corral himself I am on board.

He tested much better than people thought he would at the combine. Gives some hope he can play a small amount of defense. If Novak can play in the NBA for many years he has a chance.

This is why I kinda don't like the testing numbers. He had a 35" vert or something, but when you watch him play he has no explosiveness. Can't move laterally or vertically. He's good enough on offense, but his defense is damn near unplayable. I mean, Anderson was at least a decent defender in college, same with Novak. Wiltjer was very bad in college, plus he's a subpar rebounder and bad passer. He'll make a good Euro player.

PKM - what's your assessment of Kyle Wiltjer? Since he played for your boy, Cal, I figure your opinion would be more valid than the mine.

Lets draft the next Klay Thompson.

The closest player to him would be Buddy Hield. Who Klay is actually a fan of:

“He’ll be a great scorer,” Thompson told CSNBayArea.com on Monday. “He works so hard. He’ll be a tenacious defender. He’s physically gifted. He’s going to help somebody. He’s going to make a big impact.

“Whatever team drafts him in the Top 10, well, personally, for me, I think he’s top-three, at least a top-five pick,” Thompson added. “But if he slips into that six to 10 range, some team is going to get really lucky.”

If he does fall in that 6-10 range could the jazz trade up?

I watched Denzel Valentine and then Furkan Korkmaz video, big difference in athleticism. Furkan will be a scorer in the NBA.

Furkan Korkmaz reminds me a little bit of a young skinny Hayward. He will need to get stronger if he wants to be a scorer in the league, but I guess that could be a product of him being 18 and the third youngest in the draft.

Idiot!!! He doesn't play defense!! Idiot!!!! Geez!!!

It's interesting how different of a player Hayward is now. His days as SG are effectively over. He's much more of a point-forward SF with average shooting but great facilitating. A lot of his game is predicated on technique and vision, which makes me think he'll only continue to improve.

Another thought I had recently-- Paul George seems to be putting up better stats in these last couple years than Hayward has. But then I thought of what would happen to Hayward's production if he had a PG like George Hill.

I really hope Dante can at least hit that level of production. We don't need him to be an Allstar-- pls just be George hill

I can be sold on most Jazz moves but I'd be sooooo pissed with drafting Ullis at 12
