I've said all kinds of stuff on this board that you can feel free to throw in my face(like most people here, I do occasionally cross into troll territory to try to rile someone up), but I'd be very interested to see anything where I spoke negatively of black people.

As far as hatred goes too, I guess we need to be understanding of pedophiles and embrace them too. I mean, let's be honest. No one grows up saying I want to be a pedophile. They just are born that way, more genetically predisposed and/or were abused themselves so it's really not their fault their pederasts. Don't hate them. Don't form an opinion on them. Just love them.

America is actually pretty live and let live.

The hate for the U.S. has more to do with uninvited involvement in other countries and the pompous act we portray than any specific downtrodden sub-sect.

I don't know though... I've traveled the world and once thought I had socio-economic/global-politics figured out... but now i kinda feel i really know nothing at all.

I've had a personal saying throughout my life. "Understand, do not excuse."

I don't think understanding the reasons for an action is the same as justifying the action.

There are no evil people in this world. There are no people who commit horrific acts for the sake of evil. To each of these "monsters" they are justified. They have "good" reasons for why they did what they did.

I want to understand those reasons. I have zero desire to excuse the results of those reasons.
 
I may be late to the party but I just read the guy bought two guns in the past week!.....No matter where you stand on guns the fact that someone who is known to be a sympathizer with ISIS can legally buy high powered guns is RIDICULOUS!

Yeah, saying nobody is probably an exaggeration. But we all like to write this stuff off a little too easily. People generally justify their own actions. Even if they know they are only causing harm, they think that either they deserve to cause that harm and/or the people being harmed deserve to be harmed.

This guy apparently thought that gay lives didn't matter. Probably thought the world would be a better place with fewer gay people in it. He assumed he'd be chillin' with Allah and banging virgins right about now.
