George Hill is 100% better than whoever we would have drafted at #12. This is a weak draft class outside the top 2.

That's not necessarily true. Hill will be better than most guys drafted #3-#20. However, there will be a couple really good players in that range who develop into more than just a solid NBA starter. The question is, would we have been able to draft one of those very few players at #12 or would we have ended up with a player worse than Hill?

Simply moving up in the 2nd round would be fantastic. Could nab a higher potential 2nd rounder like McCaw, Maker, or LeVert.

Trade a potential good young project like Kork, Luwawu, Baldwin or Poeltl so we can have maybe just one year of a backup PG to help us maybe make the 2nd round? What risk are you reffering to?

Mack isn't guaranteed and can be cut. So I bet hr is included in a trade for a team looking to trim salary.

What are the rules for contract extension on Hill? Seems like DL would only do this if he had some confidence to keep him long-term and he has a relationship with DL.
