What's new

Dennis Lindsey: We will be VERY active in free agency

OK but if I were Pau, my body's starting to break down.. I've probably got a maximum of 2 productive years left in me... and I'm searching for 1 may be 2 more rings... I wouldn't consider the Jazz.

Counter-argument to that, is that the Jazz are clearly a playoff caliber team with a stable front office, young players on the rise, a system and pace that would suit him well AND a young, emerging coach that he knows and trusts.

What better scenarios can you see for him? I actually think that Utah might be ideal this offseason.

How is Pau familiar with Snyder?

Pau Gasol approached the media huddle near the end of Quin Snyder's interview. "I have a question."

FYI, Pau Gasol and Quin Snyder were together during the 2011-12 season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

By the way, it's pretty awesome having a coach that as far as I can tell literally every former player loves and potentially wants to play for again.

Eh, would be easy to convince an old man who already has rings to come off the bench and extend his career. Cash talks, Gasol walks.

That was my thinking as well, everyone around the league expects up to be in the playoffs next year and I feel like a healthy exum and gasol added we become a serious contender in the west. Lindsey and Quinn I'm sure will try to convince him. I'm willing to bet money he's high on their list and wouldn't be surprised if their willing to pay him good money on a two year deal. look at Gasol's options outside of the Spurs i can make an arguemnt that Utah would be the best fit and chance to win!

Spurs(Most Likely landing spot)
Knicks(Really, are the in better position then us?)
Dallas( if Dirk leaves, then what?)
Bulls(Their cleaning house rebuilding around Butler?)

Plus Quin has talked in interviews about knowing how to teach and learn from star players - referencing his time working with Kobe and Pau in L.A. The Lakers job is how he hooked up with Etorre Messina before heading to CSKA Moscow as well.

Yep. Guys like DeMarre Carroll, Paul Millsap, Dennis Schroder, Kobe Bryant, Kyle Korver and Pau Gasol have all openly had nice things to say about him, as have coaches like Gregg Poppovich, Mike Budenholzer, Ettore Messina, Tom Thibodeau and Coach K.

Also, Quin was a guy that George Hill openly admitted wanting to play for. Snyder's reputation as a player's coach is good and growing.

Kobe Bryant

Paul Millsap

DeMarre Carrol

Kyle Korver

we all #fail sometimes, braugh. For example, I just found out that George Hill did a camp in Utah recently -- pre-trade. #fail

See, I had forgotten Snyder was with the Lakers for a season. I was over here trying to figure out the connection.

Thanks colton

Thanks for nothing NAOS lol

colton's answer came before mine. Should I have repeated his answer or thrown some shade your direction? The choice was obvi, braughsef.

I think Lyles is our third big and they don't want to add a guy like Gasol but may be wrong.

I just think we will get one rotation guy and use the rest of the space on restructuring Hill and Favs.

most of these guys will want more of a role than I think I'd offer and for the money they will make... This summer will be crazy!

So you are saying we should use all are cap space on what we got an forget about ever contending. Great.

We both know you being helpful was never an option lol

Also Colton's wasn't in answer to me. It was before I asked, I just didn't see it before. But yeah, fail on my part.
