Stupid Pet Peeves

My wife makes some that I throw on the BBQ that are just to die for.

Go on..... I am aroused! Help me finish! I need details!
Is she nude when she makes em?

(Sorry if I crossed the line. Don't kill me please)

Seriously though. What does she do to the taters?

Sometimes she's naked. Only if I've been a really good boy. I know you're only like halfway into your six week hiatus. Does that help?

She uses red potatoes. Cuts them into about 3/4" pieces. Lays them in foil, drizzle canola oil over them, salt, pepper, Lawry's seasoning salt. Low and slow on the BBQ. Double layer the foil because the foil had a tendency to rip as you flip it. Just as it's getting done, I like to open it up and add some shredded cheese (she doesn't like this, but I do). Then I personally like to dip in Heinz 57.

Lol at the 6 week hiatus. At least I'm back in the game manually.

Sounds delicious. Will try.

Have you done it with white potatoes? I know reds are typically better roasters, so I'm just curious.
No. But I may try it one time.
And how long does it take?
Usually about 20-25 minutes. I start them, go get the meat ready and throw it on, then they're usually done about the same time.
And why do you flip it?
Just to keep the bottom layer from getting overdone. I tried it once without flipping and the bottoms got burnt.
And why don't I just use one big post instead of all these little questions?

To annoy Gameface
That all important post count.

I eat very few potatoes. By weight I probably eat 3-4x more rice than potatoes, and probably 2x as much pasta.

Not big on french fries. Not big on baked or mashed potatoes. The place where I eat a lot of potatoes is in beef stew. That's pretty much 90% of my potato consumption.

Why do you hate me and want me to be poor?

Probably my favorite food.
Mashed taters and gravy (pheasant gravy is my favorite followed by Turkey adds any poultry gravy) is my favorite food.
Fries, chips, scalloped, au-gratin, baked potato, hash browns, tater tots, potato wedges, and on and on and on. Potatoe salad might be my least favorite type of potato and even that's still good.

Potatoes are the best. I even like them raw with a little salt on em.

we'll just call you Dan from now on

I'm gonna get ripped for this one, but young college employees/interns.

Your workplace isn't a democracy. You do what I tell you to, or you get out. Don't be a smartass and argue about everything.

I fully agree. They're dumbasses.

People who open a drink can but just barely. So they just crack the lid a little and leave a lot of it still attached to the can.

What is wrong with these people? Open the ****ing can all the way. Are they trying to be sneaky?

It's bad no matter what but it's 100x worse when they drink out of that can.

Media trying to create controversy in the Olympics or sports in general when the issue isn't a big deal (aka Lilly King/Yulia Efimova and Michael Phelps/Chad le Clos). Neither deserved all the breathless and excited talk of the announcers.

I understand that the announcers are trying to make it all more exciting, but do they really have to try so hard? Sports are pretty exciting all on their own without creating an us (good guys) versus them (bad guys) mentality.
