Vivint Arena Renovations

Much, much, MUCH less than I was actually expecting, at least from the press conference. Spent a lot of time talking about the viewer experience but the details were more on the suites. Definitely raising the price on those, no doubt.

So what were you expecting?

So what were you expecting?

A more detailed floor plan layout of before and after renovations, not just rendered images. More rendered images of the concourse. Keep in mind, what zyzz posted has 9 of the 26 images posted that are pertinent to the "every" fan. 15 images are for the upper elite, 1% fan. There was very little that the majority would have any interest in. All that it was is more enclosed space outside, opening up the innards for crowd control, and modernizing the look. That's really it. No real details were given. Very uninspiring.

One idea someone on this site mentioned when the project was first announced that I wish they had included is a bridge to The Gateway Center.

The Miller's do not own Gateway. FYI there are talks of Gateway interacting with the arena in the future. Also, Gateway is in the process of reworking both parking structures, so parking there for games won;t be a total nightmare anymore.

Bridges can only go between buildings owned by the same entity?

I'm sorry I'm not good enough for you :(

Sure a lot of it looks like updated boxes and suites, but I think the upgrade of having the open concourse at the top of the upper bowl is awesome. When I go to a game, and I'm pretty sure anybody on this site would feel the same way, I don't want to miss a second of the action. With that being said I don't know much about other arenas to compare to them.

I said I'd rep anyone who authored a more obsessed version of that post. That includes you. This totally isn't personal, mayne.
