Trump/Hillary Debate

I agree if Clinton gets a bump in the polls her lead could dissipate before November and that future debates will play a factor. I’m not saying Clinton will win if she moves ahead of Trump in the next week or two, just that she will likely lose if she can’t show some positive movement from Trump’s disastrous performance last night.

There is a reason Trump said that "[He] could shoot somebody, and [he] wouldn't lose voters." I've largely feared what you're saying. I don't understand how people can even claim to be mulling over Trump's "policies." What the hell is Trump going to do that will surprise them positively? Most people who are voting for Trump know exactly who he is. I think the debates will do nothing for Trump either way. I think your insight is right on, and if voters aren't even open to Clinton, the unthinkable will happen.

I'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories, but when I saw the huge numbers the Drudge Report was polling for Trump, I went in to vote for Clinton. It wouldn't register my vote - just sat on a loop. I didn't try to vote for Trump to see if it would take it, so the possibility exists that it was a phone issue - although it was having no problem voting on anything else.

It was more than just Drudge. Most online polls gave the debate to him. Now they are faulty and what not but most online polls swung his way. Most media reports and articles went her way.

So nothing Hillary has done that was Criminal that you think should disqualify her for? It sure seems easy for you to bang the hammer on Trump for a so called business crime, but gloss right over Hillary's national security risk, and election crimes. Geez, I wonder which ones are a bigger deal?

But go ahead and pander to the audience.

I tend to believe the FBI when they do an investigation. I am also a little biased towards news outlets who are not biased, and they didn't really give much credence to the unlawful claims of Hillary's email indiscretion. The ones that were banging that drum have a pretty consistent record of biases (Fox, Drudge, Breitbart, Blaze, etc.)

I understand your opinion though, and I respect it, I just don't buy into it.

Not sure about it's "worth," but Daily Mail is one of the most conservative newspapers in the U.K., and they've predictably cherry picked groups of ignoramuses mainly from other conservative websites/organizations.

Yeah this is basically cherry picked crap. Any article that starts out with a poll from Drudge is going to be extremely biased. What JazzGal mentioned earlier may not be true, but it happened to me as well, Drudge would not count my Clinton vote within 20 minutes of the debate ending.

Also, who the hell reads Drudge other than Trump supporters?

I honestly dont understand what you just said.

But if you are trying to say only the right has news outlets that are biased, then you sir are extremely naive.

The only major television network that leans right is fox news. The rest all lean far left. Please tell me you dont actually believe that CNN and others neutral??

One thing I kept thinking during the debate is how difficult it actually is to know what is true and what is not. Reporters, news channels, fact checkers, government agencies - everyone has an agenda and everyone can find stats that back up their points of view while ignoring the rest. And us poor citizens are at their mercy because we have no way of checking all the facts independently.

I watched the debate with my mother, who has become a somewhat reluctant Trump supporter. She heard the same things as I did and had completely different interpretations. While I don't understand how she thinks what she does, I know she thinks the same about me.

I'm frustrated and disillusioned.

So when I said Fox, Drudge, Breitbart, Blaze, etc. did that not make sense? I never said that there were not news outlets that were biased to the left, what I said was that I try to get my news from unbiased sources. I also try to root out the biases in the articles or programs I consume. I don't watch television for news, I usually listen to NPR and a lot of podcasts. I don't view NPR as biased as much as I view them based in reality. I understand that I have a bias to the left, but I am not blind. Hillary was investigated by the FBI for what she did, and they did not recommend prosecution. I understand that people get hung up on it, but I personally do not.

What's even more entertaining than Donald Trump on the debate last night? Donald Trump explaining his performance today. Microphone conspiracy? Denying the sniffles we all heard? The unfair moderator? It goes on and on. Funny stuff.

I think he lost, handily. I also think that the questions were skewed a little and the moderator did get after him somewhat. Part of that is his fault for his "debate"' style though.

But overall, yeah he's looking for conspiracies and excuses.

Yeah I will 100% blame him for not acting like an adult and having a normal debate. That is not the moderators fault he wanted to interrupt constantly.
