A change I'm considering is that for non-league players they can either, A) pay an additional $10 which will go towards league membership per game played until they have played 5 games and paid the $50 league membership, or B) Not pay the extra $10 and be ineligible for league membership.
This would mean that all of an " ineligible" players buy-in would go towards the prize pool for that game, none of it would go towards the league prize pool. In contrast, if a player opted to remain eligible by paying the extra $10 both their $10 non-member money and the $10 portion of their $40 buy-in would go to the league prize pool.
I don't want to discourage non-league member participation.
As an alternative we could also have "ineligible" players only buy-in for $30, but I don't want to discourage league membership.
I cannot (and as a league, "we" cannot) have any financial gain by providing these games. If that makes sense.
