What's new

The Walking Dead

Agree with this and stoked. Negan is actually getting pretty boring. Sucking through his teeth, poking out his tongue. The swagger and all. He has no other faces just jackass and tough guy. Really a waste of such a great actor so far anyway.

Not sure I'd say JDM is a "great actor."

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it Kublai Khan ( grandson of Genghis Khan ) under whom Mongol Empire was at it's strongest, largest and most powerful?

You're right. I was thinking about Atilla the Hun.

Most everything I've seen him in he's been very solid. Individual tastes I guess. For some reason people think Merrill Streep is a great actress and I think she sucks donkey balls.

Ya, Im not liking this new season so far. Negan isnt a good character. Dragging this out is boring as hell. I do think they will probabaly drag it out til the end of season before they even stand up to him, and then still wont do anything. Probably just leaves us with a lame cliff hanger.

Oh, they will end the season with a cliffhanger 100% guaranteed.

Strong money-making model for this season finale. So far about 90 seconds of show per 5 minutes of commercials. Good hell.

Well that part got better. Kind of a dud of a finale actually.

And why do the garbage pail kids talk like that? It's been a whole what 3 years but the English language has apparently devolved into grunts and gestures? Irritatingly fake. Makes it hard to take them even close to seriously.

I pretty much made that same comment to my wife.

That's not even the biggest question of the season (though that has annoyed the ever living **** out of me).

Why did Sasha kill herself in the coffin if her reasoning behind doing so was to **** Negan's plan up? Would she not be more effective being alive and trying to kill him? The whole flashbacks thing make it seem like she was going to do this heroic act (I thought the water bottle thing was just a decoy to make us think she was going to kill herself, but then flip it and have her attack Negan, maybe wounding him in some way before her eventual death). But no, she just commits suicide so she can be a useless zombie that she of all people should know, are easy as **** to kill and escape.

The episode would have been an absolute flaming bag of **** if it wasn't for the tiger killing two people. Give me more tiger killing people and I'm happy.

Also, how did they not have any of Negan's main henchman die? I thought for sure we would get a satisfying revenge kill for Morgan on that one long-haired dude who was a dick at the supply drops for The Kingdom. Like a nice staff through the head, but nah, just a bunch of random extra deaths. The only main character death was to Sasha, who was pretty obviously going to die.

The confrontation scene was alright, the part that makes it bad is how much filler they have to do to get to that point. They try to create more character depth and build suspense, but they fall pretty short in that department.

This bugged me. It was this huge big fight and aside from Sasha offing herself not a single character that has had any screen time died. I can name a half dozen suitable people. Eugene, Rosita, blond chick from the kingdom, Simon.

Hell we never even got to see Jerry use his battle axe!

Also if they follow the comics Negan does not die. He actually gets held prisoner by Rick, eventually escapes but starts working for Rick to earn his way into their good graces. There are now 6 groups and 3 different sides. The Saviors (Tara joined them) v The Whisperers v The Hilltop, Alexandria (including Negan), The Kingdom and a Savior spinoff led by Dwight.

Imo Sasha didn't kill herself to ruin Negan's plan. Her negotiation with him about the number of deaths was the clue. She always intended for herself to be the one death because she made it clear she didn't want Negan to use her to get the upper hand. And in that she succeeded. Negan couldn't use her and the surprise of her being a zombie turned the tables at the perfect moment. So in a way she won and accomplished exactly what she set out to do. If course her killing Negan would have been the icing on the cake but if there is anything the walking dead is about it is serving cake with nothing but **** smeared on it with turd sprinkles.
