The Timberwolves have attached Rubio to multiple offers with Shabazz Muhammad to several teams around the NBA, league sources said. Minnesota has been seeking something of a “bridge” guard in return, a player capable of starting in the short term, but who’ll ultimately settle into a backup role and give way to rookie Kris Dunn to become the long-term starter, league sources said.

Hmmm, well the Jazz don't have anyone to fill that role for them. Of course that might just be double talk for them just wanting to tank this year. Thibs is also their president of basketball operations so might have decided its the best strategic move with this special class of 2017.
 
Ivica Zubac with his first double-double 11pts 13rebs 1 stl 3 blocks in 26minutes.. Gotta say him falling to the 2nd rd is sorta reminiscent to DeAndre Jordan in my book -- I don't understand how it happened.

Good, because neither of those players really improves the Jazz. Jazz are 11 games over .500, in the 5th seed, very likely be in 4th within the week and are finally mostly healthy and starting to click.

The last thing Utah wants to do right now is a trade.

That's when as a team mate you have to get a tech. You don't let that stand. Then after the game Westbrook said he was going to get Zaza back.
 
Don't look now but Mavs won 3 games in a row and are only 3 wins away from playoff berth. I think it is reasonable with Dirk getting back in a shape for them to compete for that 8th spot. Especially with Kings losing Gay and practically dropping out of playoff contention now. It will be interesting race between Portland, Denver, New Orleans and Dallas to get the honours of being swept by GSW in first round:)

Good time to be heading to Dallas then. Although they will be on the end of a back to back coming back from miami, so that's good.
