Don't look now but Mavs won 3 games in a row and are only 3 wins away from playoff berth. I think it is reasonable with Dirk getting back in a shape for them to compete for that 8th spot. Especially with Kings losing Gay and practically dropping out of playoff contention now. It will be interesting race between Portland, Denver, New Orleans and Dallas to get the honours of being swept by GSW in first round

I don't really understand what Dallas is doing? Aren't they supposed to be tanking? Why qualify as the 8th seed? As constructed that team is going nowhere fast....


I'd rather pick up another talent and reload for next year. The season is half gone already.

I'd pull the plug, field offers for McLemore and wait for the 2018-2019 season to really go for it.. I think they've got something like that planned(maybe not the McLemore part) -- They took all projects in the 1st rd in 2016..

I'd pull the plug, field offers for McLemore and wait for the 2018-2019 season to really go for it.. I think they've got something like that planned(maybe not the McLemore part) -- They took all projects in the 1st rd in 2016..

The problem is if you're gonna do that you better have assurance that Cousins is gonna stick around... cos he might not be all that happy with another tanking season.
