The Inevitability of Impeachment

not pleased with it he. he should stay away from this!

but who knows if its a political statement or a business decision.

if its a business decision he has no business meddling. if it is a political boycott/statement they threw first stone.

but i have no acces to their books so i dont know if sales where really bad

He has no right to use his position as POTUS to attack any company. Nordstrom didn't make this political, he did. Besides, it's irrelevant whether it was politically motivated or not. Nordstrom has a right to sell whatever the hell they want. Donald, the snowflake in chief, has other things to worry about... Or at least should. I thought he was going to roll out a replacement for Obamacare like 3 weeks ago? Also, poor uneducated people in Kentucky are still poor and uneducated. Apparently coal jobs haven't come back yet. Also, where are all the car jobs for Detroit that the snowflake promised?

Ivanka should pull herself up by her own boostraps.

Yes he does. This is what you get sooner or later when you elect a dictator. The presidency( short-term King) was a dumb f****** idea from the start.

i agree if it is a business decisions he should stfu.

where i disagree is here
Nordstrom has the freedom out of political reason to do away with her stuff. but if a company makes a political statement against a politician(or ANYBODY), The politician is allowed to make a counter statement, now the statement should only consist of words(spoken or written). as long as mr trump does not put action to his response especially no government action!

well we just have to agree to disagree. if i t was a business decision we are on the same page and should say F trump

mind boggling

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/08/nyregion/pentagon-lease-trump-tower-conflict.html

I can't paste the text but it's something about the Pentagon leasing space in Trump Tower in NYC

simple question where you also such an activist when the democrats had mind boggling conflicts of interest. or does that not bother you!

what I've known so far is Donald trump is gonna Donate Foreign Government Hotel Payments. the article does not state action. the article is speculating. so i wonder why it boggles your mind. you wait and see i suspect trump will either let em use it for free, or donate the money. but this is just speculation and i might be wrong!

Nonsense.

The POTUS has no right to voice any opinion over Nordstrom's business dealings with his daughter. This is the very definition of nepotism and crony capitalism. For someone who claims that there isn't any "conflicts of interest" Dump does a terrible job of hiding it.

Hilarious! You blame democrats yet cannot even cite a single case where Obama publicly denounced a company for not selling his daughter's crappy products.

Listen, this isn't hazy. It's clear. Her crap wasn't selling. You can look at the numbers if you really want. Nordstrom isn't going to stop selling a hot item. That wouldn't make business sense.

You right wingers who advocate for the free market are being exposed for the stupid *** hypocrites that you truly are. This is the free market at work! Nordstrom has the right to sell whatever the hell they please. If Ivanka's stuff isn't selling, why chastise them for protecting their own self interests? Can Nordstrom force Trump to sell something that they want to be sold?

Dutch, you're ridiculous.

If Ivanka wants to sell her crap, why doesn't she start her own Nordstrom like store? What's stopping her? Is she too stupid? Too lazy? What is it?

The Trump's should stop bitching and start working!

This ****ing guy. Today:

"I comprehend very well, okay? Better than I think almost anybody. And I want to tell you, I listened to a bunch of stuff last night on television that was disgraceful. It was disgraceful."

And:

"And I can read the polls maybe better than anybody because it seems that I understood the polls a lot better than many of the pollsters understood the polls -- assuming they were honest polls, which I think probably many of them weren’t. I really believe that."

Oh, and Dutch, can you please just admit that Trump is a clown with massive insecurity issues? You can still hate Hillary and anyone else you want, but surely you can see Trump for what he is? How can anyone not?

You should try to understand your system of government before you blow up. There's not a damn thing in the Constitution that prohibits what he's doing as far as Nordstrom is concerned. The flaw is in the design of the office. Or rather what we let it become. If you create an office as powerful as the presidency sooner or later someone that you don't agree with or worse who is completely outside of the bounds of what you would consider as reasonable will inevitably hold that office.

The Bears ears thing is a good example of what I'm talking about. Preserving land is cool but a single dude doing it with a pen is not. So long as people think first about the politics before they think about the system we're going to continue to have this problem.

IMO, impeachment is not gaining ground. It is a temper tantrum by portions of the left.

His refugee ban - 7 countries are listed. They are taken from previous reports under the Obama administration. Also there was no outrage when Obama banned Iraq refugees for 6 months. I can understand the ban but I don't really agree with it. I hope it is very temporary. Also it is not a ban on muslims as he promised, thank god. Still sucks.

Black sites and water boarding. I sincerely hope he does not open these sites back up and bring these techniques back. Terrible.

Border wall - This is merely getting funding for something all ready passed in 2007 with bi partisan support. The 2007 calls for a 2 layered wall along parts of the border.

Federal hiring freeze - many presidents have instituted temp fed hiring freezes when they enter office until they determine which direction they want to head. Bush, Carter and Reagan all instituted some form of a hiring freeze.

Mexico paying for the wall - this is just dumb, stop it President.

NAFTA - I am absolutely open to America, Mexico and Canada sitting down and renegotiating this deal. It is 20ish years old and things have changed. Time to update it. But do it from a position of mutual respect for the other 2 nations involved.

TPP - This was never ratified by congress and is merely beating a horse that was already dead.

ACA/Obamacare - he is trying to do away with the mandate which tbh, I agree with. Now I am not for repealing the ACA in full. Tweak and change what didn't work. Don't scrap it and start over. I am cautiously worried here.

Chicago violence - I am all for the feds offering a hand when needed. Now I do not mean troops on the street. But funds, gear, training, intel... I want to see what he does. Very vague statement about sending in "the feds"

Dakota Access and Kesystone - will very unpopular this doesn't really break any laws, policies or anything else.

I can see where there are some extremely unpopular actions here. At least to part of the population. Some things I am not a fan of. Like this idiocy of mexico paying for the wall. SMH.

But nothing even remotely impeachable here. Also does the left really want to impeach Trump and put Pence in the Whitehouse?

Great post! Even if I dont agree with everything, it is well written and explains the key points.

not blaming democrats for companies.

the conflict of interest Hillary and democrats had was not towards companies, but was WAY worse and way egregious!
but if you dont know what i mean by know. stick to your fake news then

again i pointed out that trump is in the wrong if it was a business/bottomline position!
then trump is acting clownish.

i disagree if it was a politcal statement. trump is not perfect. but he is way way better than any racist candidate the left could have brought foward

Good to see some Americans hating Trump as much as the rest of the world does. I think when he gets impeached it will be for an act of insider trading so disgustingly beneficial to T.Rump that its impossible to hide the truth. I would have loved to have seen Bernie Sanders get a shot as your president, think it would have potentially been good for America and humanity as a whole. That said its only one man and I think the scope of the office's powers are more limited than we tend to think.

A former Aussie PM recently said something interesting, in the post war period its one of the only times he can think of that the west has not been led by or had an outstanding figure. He mentioned Merkel in positive ways but its still an interesting idea.

Hahahaha

The Donald made "impeccable" Nate Silver his little bitch! The left, all they can say is you are wrong you are wrong look at Nate Silver polls you are wrong.

Hahaha they are in so much shock TO THIS DAY. Factual proof of how closed mined an backward they really are (@stoked in particular).

So, there is a video called about the last 6 people to learn that he won the presidency. The cast of that Big Brother reality show are completely cut off from the outside world. They went into the show during the general campaign and were in during the election and still in at the time of the video. Well the director told them who won (stupidly to build suspense for the show of course) and said he won with 306 EC votes and then they signed off. And the cast members are filmed in their reactions.

"I'm gonna cry!"

"Gay people where where you!?"

"what the hell happened!"

lmfao

ten or twenty JFC members hating Trump..... lol..... you're a ridiculous bunch or arrogant knowitalls.

I don't believe Trump is great, but he did ride a real political shift to the Presidency. The election was a public rejection of the way we've been governed, of the direction we're going. If any of you want to get smart, it's time to try to understand why people are turning away from you.

Impeachment will get nowhere, because the support for the old "progress" is just not there, and the media has lost credibility and won't be able to regain it by trashing Trump.

Moreover, it's not just this country going that way. It's China, Brazil, Russia, some Euro countries, and India. And it's not really a "conservative" phenomenon. It is driven by economics, by practical reality.

He wasn't elected in a tsunami of public support. He beat a very flawed candidate that people were tired of and and who to her supporters seemed inevitable. Plus he lost the popular vote. So long as the Democrats don't shoot themselves in the foot again he'll likely be gone in 4 years.

You could be right, perhaps. Obviously you view the public as pretty set. I see it as changing. I think those, like you, who are set, are missing the point.

Very few people are influenced by the mainstream media much. It's seen as predictable and predictably dishonest, across the whole spectrum of political views. People are therefore, IMO, doing some of their own thinking.

I think that what is moving people is the economy, the pocketbook. That is also part of what brings people to this country. Just sayin'.... nobody the whole world over is happy with the way things are. But the extreme Left is universally regarded, outside their 5% base, as "the problem" not "the solution".

take a trip outta LA sometime.
