What's new

Paul George

I'd much rather have Lillard or Butler for him. Lillard and Butler fit in perfectly with this team and fix problems (especially Butler).

George? We'd have to move people around. He isn't a need right now. SG and an elite PG, those are needs. Butler or Lillard make us the third best team in the league.

If we get George, Lillard or Butler and keep Hayward and Gobert, Hayward isn't going anywhere. We'd have the third best team in the league and he'd make 30 million more here.

Any clue on what Chicago wants for Butler (probably everything)? Is he even available?

Good lord. This is a lot of all stars available.

Cousins
Butler
Lillard
George
Melo
Blake

I can't remember a time when this many all stars were rumored to be available.

I don't he gets traded at all. I doubt Jazz can offer them anything to move the needle. But Jazz should try for him. Offer them Favors, Burks, Hood, OKC pick, GS pick, our 1st round pick unprotected this year and in 2 years. It's I risk to keep Hayward and George but it's worth trying for. Go after a PF in the off season or hope Lyle's develops quick and gets going.

I thought he meant George not Hayward.

Well damnit, that's a wrinkle.

Would Hayward be willing to start a new rebuild just when he made it to the playoffs? hmm...

Yeah it took me a minute as well. I don't think Hayward is going to want to go to Indy. Pretty much everyone agrees that it's Boston or Utah for Hayward.

Boston could come out of this a juggernaut. Could upset the entire 2nd and 3rd tiers of the NBA.

Which is why if you can get another star and keep Hayward and Gobert, you HAVE to.

If I'm Hayward and Lillard, Cousins, George and Butler all get moved and I don't end up with any of them, I'd look to leave. There would be no point in staying. You know your leadership isn't interested in winning titles. They are more interested in PR stunts and raking in the cash.

Yeah, they really could. BUT, if you are Boston and Utah doesn't make a move, I'd wouldn't make a move either. Keep your team intact, add Hayward and a top 3 pick.

1. We can't afford him period.

Fixed.

The only way Utah can afford a third max player plus the $20mm that Hill is going to command next summer is by dumping Favors, Burks, Exum, Diaw, and Lyles.

Then your bench looks like this:

OP IS MORAN!

You are stuck with this ****ty roster re-build the Jazz have delivered. Boston fans, not so unfortunate.

I'd push hard on the Butler, George and Lillard fronts if I was Boston. See what possible deals could be made. Gauge whatever those are v. Hayward and a top 3 pick. Each has risks.

If Boston gambles on Hayward and losses..

How long do Butler, George and Lillard have left on their deals? Anyone?
