Following potential 2017 draftees...

Trying to pass some time before the Jazz game so I turned on #24 Iowa St vs. #10 West Virginia. The only real NBA prospect (this year) in this game is Monte Morris he's projected to go in the second round though. He's played well so far with 12 points including two threes. Nazareth Mitrou-Long has stole the show so far with five threes. Some of them have been from a few feet behind the line. Good game, 43-42 at half. WV has forced 9 turnovers.

Sophomore Jawun Evans from Oklahoma State (who I mentioned as a possible PG for the Jazz to draft) put up 29 points and 6 assists against Iowa State a few days ago. He's currently at #36 on DX and could easily rise to a late-first rounder.

Lets see what Bam's got in store for Robert Williams this go round..

I have a question. Do you like watching games that have no NBA prospects in them (i.e. Iowa St vs WV)? I certainly would rather watch a game with a first-round prospect or two than one without any no matter if the teams are ranked or not.

This has got to be one craziest potential drafts I have ever seen.

It has the potential to see a lot of trades, players slip and unexpected players to rise.

There are very solid players with injuries who will be hard to gauge.

One of my hopes is for the jazz to package Lyles and a pick to move up to grab one of these plethora of bigs on the board.

I'm this way too. I generally just watch games with NBA prospects-with some exceptions. Usually first round guys, but if the guy is a second round prospect and a really good college bball player, like Monte Morris, I'll record those too.

He's like Serge Ibaka. His wingspan isn't far off from Rudy's.

He caught some potential shaqtin nominee passes in 12-13 feet. Then Texas A&M tries to go for the trifecta and lobs an inbound up 14 feet. He couldn't get that. How's his defense? BBIQ? Positioning?

U probably should ask someone else because I'm biased..

I first pointed him out here long ago.. When he was listed at 6'7" and outside of the top-50 by all services.

He's my favorite big in the Nation. One of my favorite PF prospects, he'll stand the test of time.. at-least on par with Favors...

Yeah.. depends on the time of year.. or even the daily schedule.. I'd contend that WVU-Iowa St. game featured NBA prospects, albiet ones with receding hairlines.

I like watching basketball in general. A lot of the labels that people seemingly need to have in place to gain enough rooting interest to pay attention are trivial to me... It's the best team game, I love the competition..

I feel similarly about the game as some Bill Walton rant that includes John Wooden.

Thanks bro, good to know I'm not the only one.

That's true. It sucks when good games are on when I'm at work.

D-Lindsey's son is playing the best I've seen him... Career-high 14pts.. (obviously not relevant to this thread other than name recognition)

Jarrett Allen is probably going to keep gaining steam...
