Official NJ Nets Watch

Does NJ have the tiebreaker over WAS? I've noticed they're only 2 games ahead of them so if NJ loses their last 2 and WAS wins do we jump another slot?

the way to break the tie is flipping a coin rather than looking at head-to-head records for the draft order purpose.

Is it sad that I'm getting more excited about the stretch run during a losing season (improving our draft position) than fighting for playoff position?

Either way, I love watching to see if we can keep the #5 spot. Go KINGS!

Go Tyreke! Go Demarcus! Brilliant move by my current hometown Grizzlies taking Thabeet over Evans. Doh!

But note that they don't flip a coin for 5th vs 6th positions in the lottery... both teams each get the same lottery chance, which is the average of the chances between what the 5th and 6th worst teams would normally have.

So does Curry's development portend the same path for Fredette?

Possibly. It's great to have player that has to be guarded literally everywhere he goes. It attracts a lot of attention from defenders who have to key in and can open some seems. Curry is a slick passer. If Jimmer's hands are as fast, then maybe he can play similarly. Curry got burned by Marcus Thornton in an iso on the game-winning play though. Thornton has a couple of inches on Curry.

Evans is one of those guys who, if the ball isn't in his hands, stands around and doesn't do much. He doesn't blend in well. Appropriately, he was being guarded by Monta Ellis some of last night.

DJ Augustine! D-will-like play. I can't believe Bobcats end their losing streak, New Jersey is really that bad

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

What an exciting finish. Clutch shooting by both teams down the stretch. I shouldn't be counting on a NJ loss on Wed, but the Chicago subs should be able to win at home vs. the Nets. Just need Sacramento to win 1 more to move up. Washington and Toronto both have a shot at winning today. Wouldn't it be great if those 2 could also win out?

Yes, for the lottery itself. But they still flip a coin in the event of a tie to see who drafts ahead of the other. That's why we drafted 9th last season. We (or NY) lost the coin toss against the Clippers.

Toronto tanking the 4th quarter quite obviously. That franchise has established a loser mindset much like the Clippers have over the years. They will be playing for ping pong balls for the next 10 years.

Well, Toronto was on the road on the 2nd night of a back-to-back. They took care of business last night with the big win over NJ. Now there's still the possibility the Nets finish tied with Sacramento AND Washington. I don't give the Kings much of a shot against OKC or the Lakers. Washington plays @ Cleveland, so there's a chance, but the Wizards have been horrible on the road (3-37).

Now let's hope Phoenix comes back and wins at home against Minnesota. Seeme like they're playing to drop their last four and improve their position.

Wizards are in the "game" now, and their last one is vs. the Cavs. Very winnable, which when coupled with a NJ loss in Chicago gives us a tie. Now if the Kings can win tonight or vs the Lakers, they're AHEAD of the Nets. That would give us either the #4 or #5 pick, depending on a coin flip... Not too shabby if this all comes down!

Cleveland has a shot at being tied with Minnesota for the worst record in the league so why would they want to win?

And, the Pacers-worry is futile. A play-off bound team is not going in the lottery so we don`t have to worry about them.
