I didn't know we drone bombed Canada? If I lived in the US as a political refugee, I would certainly try not to be offended that the US has a flag that has some colors on it, even if the US did drone bomb my homeland. Patriotism is not the problem to fight against, white nationalism is, and white nationalism was not going on in the incident from the article.

I have two other passports aside from Canadian, and am also eligible for fourth. Though that's not the point I was trying to make. A flag can certainly be used with the intent to intimidate or provoke.

White people in general are offensive. 10% of dictionary is now offensive. Liking freedom and not liking socialism is offensive. Understanding biological science is offensive. Disliking bad ideas is offensive. Liking your country is offensive. Asking to not have to pay for someone else is offensive. Saying all this is offensive.

Not according to the modern Liberal. JimLes isnt an outlier here. This is a very common thing now to compare America,
and its values to that of Nazi Germany. That's why he was so quick to use the Nazi flag as an example. Its the new normal.
Try going to one of these liberal colleges like UC Berkley and say you like capitalism. Watch how fast you get punched in the face and called a Nazi.

What if that same country was trying to drone bomb the terroists in your community that are causing all the problems, Because they were trying to help you? What if that same country provided aid in the form of money, food, and Medics? What if that same country took you in and gave you a better place to live? Should you still be offended by their flag?
Just saying if a drone attack happened on your country and killed some of your family (and not terrorist family, just one of the thousands of innocent deaths from drone strikes) then I would emphasize if you felt some resentment toward the USA.

Absolutely I would understand the resentment. But if they resent us that much, why come? There are other countries that are safe and take refugees. It's a shame people use our flag for racist/ignorant purposes, it's also a shame people get offended by the flag when there's so much of this country they should be thankful for. It seems like both sides want to be divisive, there's nobody trying to band together. It's either "I'm offended because you won't agree with me, so I won't accept any part of you" or "I can't believe you're so offended, so I won't accept any part of you". We need to bind together, to work together, but nobody wants to.
Just as an example, you get Dala and Hack together, and nothing would happen but chaos because they both refuse to accept anything from opposing viewpoints. Who does that help? We can be less divisive while still not compromising our beliefs. Wish more people would try it.

In my view the flag does not represent America it represents the US government. It offends me sometimes in aN emotional way, sometimes in a more rational wtf kinda way, and sometimes in a that's just nasty kinda way.
I know it's taboo and a lot of you will be offended by it but I don't even hold it in reverence due to the soldiers that have died for it. I am not filled with pride because of the people that have died for it, It disgusts me because of that. It has been a very long time since a soldier has died that you could point to and say that my freedom depended upon his death.
As far as I'm concerned we should burn the flag, give it a proper ceremonial death, cry, and then never fly it again.

No way man, this is not a liberal Vs conservative thing. You need to understand that there are millions of really stupid people who are liberal, and millions of stupid conservatives. This is a problem in education.
The examples you give are ridiculous. People at nursery protest Milo so now you think they are snowflakes? Have you seen who Milo is and what he stands for? The guy is a horrible human, and that is completely unrelated from him being conservative.
When you say you "understand biological science" are you saying you have an advanced degree in biological science, or are you saying you know the difference between a penis and vagina and therefore you know that the whole transgender thing is a bunch of BS?
Oh, and as far as liberals completely ****ing this country up... I think this is a pretty damn good country. There are a lot of advantages to being a citizen and it's relatively easy to achieve a comfortable and secure life here.

The U.S. was one of the first countries to outlaw slavery because the U.S. was one of the primary places where slavery was being used as a means of industry as part of the plantation system that was developed in the Caribbean and the Americas.
Any slavery that existed in Europe existed on a scale that was absolutely nothing compared to how many people were being enslaved to support the plantation system.

The plantation system required the acquisition of massive amounts of new slaves from Africa where they were then delivered to plantations in the Caribbean and the Americas. In my previous post I said the Americas, so you know, I was talking about North, South and Central America.
I'm ready for you to tell me how it was the Africans who enslaved all the other Africans now. Licking my chops in anticipation.
