Rank these parks from best to worst

I was asking about cell service because I thought I'd use my phone's Google Maps (gps) to get me from Park City to whichever park I choose...and then back to Park City. I'm thinking that may kill too much battery life though and maybe I should just do it old school and write the directions down so as to save my battery life for when I get wedged in between a formation like James Franco and need one of you to save my life.

GPS (even on phones) does not need cell phone reception once you have the address looked up and put in. You will need a car charger though, GPS drains batteries pretty quick.

What about restaurants? I'm a big going out to eat guy so give me y'alls top restaurants in each PC and SLC.

Top American, top ***/sushi, top Mexican, top other in each location. Thanks. Let me know if any of y'all want to meet up. Srsly. We could get a group together a few times.

They're all easy if you can find I-15, which you can if you hit SLC.

Arches has 3 turns. Bryce has 2 (the long way). Zions has 1. Canyonlands is near Arches so hit up the visitor's center in the center of the town for directions.

Red iguana for Mexican

Squatters pub is good.

Voltaire's osteria

Spitz for lunch (Mediterranean)

High West Distillery in Park City is a must to me if you are up there. Just about every restaurant on Main Street in Park City has good food, they are all a bit overpriced though. I usually eat at the Wasatch Brewery there.

Red Iguana is really good Mexican food especially if you like Mole. My favorite is Chunga's which is more of Mexico City style. Although it is a hole in the wall and not a nice sit down restaurant. Chile-Tepin just opened near the Jazz arena and it is pretty good and in a cool building.

My favorite Sushi place is Sapa although I think more people prefer Takashi. Although I usually go to Ahh Sushi which is connected with a bar I like called O'Shucks. Although my favorite Japanese place is Koko's Kitchen, not the best sushi but really good other types of Japanese food.

All of the breweries in SLC and Park City make good food and have good beer at them. The most popular restaurant in SLC is Squatters. I would recommend going there.

I am always up for meeting up with people in town for a Beer, especially if its in SLC. You should plan a night to be out on the town I am sure a few Jazzfanz people would show up. Maybe a pregame/postgame meetup at a bar near the arena/downtown?

Thanks.

I also should also ask what the best steakhouse is in each city. I love legit, high-end steakhouses. IDGAF and will eat by myself.

As far as going out, I'd absolutely love to meet as many/all of you guys as possible. Once the games/dates/times are all set, I can plan so much better, book my flight, room (I can probably do that now and will probably just book a 2 or 3 bedroom in case people need a place to crash for some reason--our points for th year will expire anyway so I might as well max them), and planning out when I am gonna do the nature stuff, and when I am gonna do other stuff like this.

Also, as far as restaurants go, give me high-end legit food. I'm a little food snobby. Don't get me wrong, I'll drink you bitches under the table and hang at some brewery and eat wings and sloth it up but if I'm going out to eat, I want legit ****ing food, not just brewery/pub food and a good time. I'll have a good time anyway and with whomever off of here I meet. Though a bunch of you ******* better not Mormon out on me and two-beer ***** it.

I think High West is some of the best food up in Park City and a really cool place. It is medium on fancy but it is more high end like most of the Park City Restaurants.

The more high end places in SLC are Tuscany, La Caille, Bambara and The Roof. I like Tuscany and Bambara but would lean towards Bambara but mostly because it is downtown and I like the environment better and I dont love expensive Italian food that much. I have not eaten at the roof in a really long time so I dont even have an opinion on it. I think La Caille is over rated. The Roof is at the top of one of the downtown LDS buildings at Temple Square(A Mormon run area/restaurant). If you are coming to SLC you kind of have to take the time to at least walk around the LDS Temple square area.

You ever heard of McDonalds? Immaculate food.

Oh there is also Market Street grill that is more seafood oriented.

Flemings which is high end steak house (where most the Jazz players eat a lot) there is also a Ruth's Chris steakhouse (Although Chains seem less exciting for you)

Riverhorse in Park City is more high end and really good food.

Also most of the ski/snowboard resorts have nice high end restaurants at them.

These are solid recommendations.

I like both Sapa and Takashi for sushi. If I want more fun, more casual I go for Sapa. If I want slightly better preparation but a little more uppity atmosphere I go Takashi. I rank Takashi as having better sushi, but not by too much. Sapa is louder and more alive. Better place to also get your drink on. Both places usually have a significant wait.

Red Iquana is sort of divey (they are in one of the worst areas of SLC, just a few blocks from where I grew up) but they have a huge reputation and they certainly try to live up to it. They are busy all the time but the servers are pros that know how to deal with being slammed non-stop. Some of their food is really good, but they also have a lot of basic food that you'll end up wondering what all the fuss was about. Don't go there before or after the Jazz games, even though they are close, they will have hours long waits.

Zion's is first, at least one day if not two. Motel in St. George, see Peeks and Trout and any other JFC member living there. Then motel in Kanab and go from there for an all-day visit to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Return to Kanab for a motel, the next day drive east to Page, then to Bluff or Moab for another night. Then it's Arches, man. A must. On your way back to Park City, go see the marina on the north side of Lake Powell, then Capitol Reef, then Bryce Canyon. There's a nice spot in very high country just east of Cedar called "Cedar Breaks", literally right next to the Brian Head ski resort at 11000 ft. Gotta be 10 ft of snow right now, but open roads.

Gotta go to the Heavy Metal Shop to get a Tshirt. If your wife ends up coming the new Eccles theater is gorgeous. It looks like Lion King will be in town.

Side note excited for Regent street. It will be nice when the hotel and residences are completed.

You have to make four turns between Park City and Moab. Save your battery.

The place I've heard had the best burgers in Utah is at deer valley ski resort at the montage. It's called burgers and bourbon. Been meaning to try it. I hear it's amazing.

FYI - North Rim doesn't usually open until mid-May. We're actually doing an RV trip with the kids the first full week of April from the SLC to Moab to GC and back in five days. Our plan WAS the North Rim but apparently now it's the South Rim.

Too far for Wes anyway but thought I'd share :)

I suppose I'll chime in with my rank as well of those I've visited prior: Yellowstone (head north instead?), Zions, Arches, Bryce, Canyon Lands. If you're only doing it in a day, perhaps Yellowstone should be on your list. I think it's like 3-3.5 hrs from the SLC.

Food: Chungas or Red Iguana are fine for Mexican. Red Iguana is on the food shows so I suppose that is where you're encouraged to go but there are some damn good taco carts as well (800 S State St) or, again, Chungas is a hole-in-the-wall place with good eats! I agree that Spitz is good too - only been to the downtown one but I guess they have another location as well. Not big on sushi so got nothing there.
