2016-17 Hype Train Playoff Chase!!!

Another day another try.

Jazz @ Pacers
Nuggets @ Rockets
Warriors @ Thunder
Knicks @ Clippers

Go road teams!

Cavs did this for the second time. Remember the grizzlies game earlier this year when they rested big 3
Moreover, clippers has lot more easy games left compared to utah.

By the way i still want utah to play houston. Trust me, we'll beat them.

NBA needs to do something about this. The Clips games could cost us hc. Maybe the commissioner could force them to sit for 2 games or some such.

Then they also need to punish the Clips, Spurs, Warriors and even our Jazz...Cavs are not the only team sitting people.

I don't like it but only punishing one team, or even any of them, is foolish. If anything should be done I'd say you implement a rule for future seasons. Nothing retro because it isn't against any rules.

The league punished San Antonio for this a few years back (fined the coach if I recall correctly), but then apparently decided it wasn't a battle worth having.

Locke talked about resting players today on his podcast. Said there are a lot of people involved in resting, depending on the player. Could be teams, players, even agents. Pandora's Box has been opened. Adam Silver says they plan to do away with back-to-backs in an effort to help stave off these type of rests, but Locke said that might just encourage them all the more. Now guys could get even more rest days, in other words. I favor eliminating B2B's for other reasons, anyway. I think it might be effective to require two game minimums if someone's going to rest. This, combined with no B2B's, could cut down on the number of rest games because it would be harder to plan around a schedule knowing that one game will cost you two. It would be worth experimenting with, perhaps.

I'd even say a one week minimum which could be up to five games. Maybe that's a bit much but I like your basic idea.

Staying @4th seed is harder than it looks. Seed 5 is meaningless.
Get that 6th seed and send that crybaby James Harden home. Go Jazz!

Jazz had no business losing tonight and against the Bulls.

Frustrating

Next couple games will decide the season in my opinion. If we can go on a mini-run of 3-4 wins in a row (including Clipps!), we will hold on to HCA for playoffs. Paramount to escaping the 1st round in my opinion.

Well if we can just finish the season at 6-5 Memphis would have to go 9-2 to catch us and they still have to play at SA twice and at GS once. I'd be floored if we ended up in the 7th seed.

Also our magic number to clinch is now 2 with POR losing tonight

OKC's schedule is lightening up right now. I could see them getting into the mix for 4 and 5. That said, if the Jazz slip to 6th and play Houston in the first round with a shot at San Antonio in the 2nd round, that's no worse a path to the WCF than the Clips and Warriors.

Just a brutal close to the season. If GSW and SA were locked into seeds, it would more palatable.

My guess is we get the six seed. OKC and LAC have a cakewalk ending. I'm okay with playing HOU round one.
