Locke talked about resting players today on his podcast. Said there are a lot of people involved in resting, depending on the player. Could be teams, players, even agents. Pandora's Box has been opened. Adam Silver says they plan to do away with back-to-backs in an effort to help stave off these type of rests, but Locke said that might just encourage them all the more. Now guys could get even more rest days, in other words. I favor eliminating B2B's for other reasons, anyway. I think it might be effective to require two game minimums if someone's going to rest. This, combined with no B2B's, could cut down on the number of rest games because it would be harder to plan around a schedule knowing that one game will cost you two. It would be worth experimenting with, perhaps.
