Quotes from the Washington Wizards Forums - "Absolutely a joke if Gobert doesn't get DPOY"

Hopefully the Jazz are beginning to benefit from a reputation as a good defensive team to the point where we get advantages like this. For years we've suffered on the other end of those calls. The Spurs for instance have gotten the benefit of the doubt for years on the reputation of their defense. I remember a playoff game against the Spurs back in the DWill/Booz era against the Spurs, may have been 07? Anyway, they got away with murder the whole game while we got called for every Manu and Parker drive and flop.
Just saw this, agreed obviously

"using your expiring assets to add depth to the squad rocks the boat too violently and may destroy our delicately balanced beamed cakk bakk" - me

Gobert has gone from taking souls on the court to destroying fans egos thousands of miles away. Love it.

Rudy is so obviously the alpha on the Jazz, He is the Jazz, he gives them this idendity, this brand, Rudy is worth his weight in gold here, or actually well beyond that.... He is the franchise changer.. Hayward has served well, he's been usurped though, the torch has been passed.

Gobert's the tone-setter. What Rudy brings to the table is something more electric and potent, and reliable than Hay(It's not even ****ing close). People who think Gordon's the alpha should seriously re-read these quotes (and wake up out of denial)..

The really 'unspoken' part of this common delusion is that Rudy is a much better C than Hayward is a SF or SG or PF or whatever.. It's actually that simple.

Unfair reffing should always be complained about, and we had A LOT of calls that favored us when they shouldn't. Hayward chase downs and gobert charge against gortat (maybe a flop?) not called. This game was completely slanted towards jazz, let's be serious. Refs gifted this one to the jazz. It happens sometimes, it's basketball. [/url]

Hayward's blocks were obviously fouls, but I thought there were a couple of missed calls the other way as well (both Haywayd and Rudy getting a _lot_ of contact and no call), so I wouldn't say it was gifted away. We're talking about a few more free throws for the Wizards. And Gortat seemed to flop seriously, even though it might have been a charge.

The jazz got calls last night they shouldn't have but what's ya gunna do.

The no call on gobert looked like a charge but I hate it when 7'ers flop to get charges. Take the shove then block the person. Don't try to get the charge

I've been to Utah a few times. Really beautiful state, some very nice people. Couldn't find any jazz clubs.
I recently visited DC for the first time, I really enjoyed all of the monuments and historical buildings, however, as a big Harry Potter fan, I was disappointed to not see a single wizard in the city.

Where you polling people or something?

I think the calls in the game went in favor of the Jazz. But how many games have they had where they didn't. Now that they are relevant they should expect to get calls going their way at home. I say about d@mn time!

Nice circumvention of the profanity filter
