If you combine CJ and Burks, it wont make a half Hood.
Get over yourself, Hood has heart. He will get only better next year, he just needs health and consistency. No serious flaws in his game like Cj or Burks or Burke or Kanter or whoever...

Don't know what everyone else sees, but I've never been too big on Hood.

I don't hate him, but I just don't see what some people do. I see him as a 2nd tier bench player. That doesn't mean 3rd string, but it means he's an average bench player. If he was actually consistent on his 3s I'd consider him a damn good 6th man. But he's not. He never has been.

I stand by what I've always said about Hood:

He is a nice player. A solid starter. An amazing bench player. The Jazz should hold onto him. The Jazz probably will hold onto him, because he won't ever be too expensive, which is nice. I hope he is in Utah for a really, really long time. Hayward, Gobert and one more with a support group of Hood, Burks, Lyles is a really, really, really good team.

I think it`s extremely unrealistic to assume that there won`t be atleast one team offering Hood something close to the max after next season. In this day and age, no semi-decent player signs cheap contracts, and especially not a player that for some reason seems to be universally loved around the league.

But he's young enough and has room for development. At this point, I see his ceiling as an average starter. He just needs to work on his offensive game outside of the jump-shot.

I'd prefer to keep him on the team as opposed to letting him walk. I definitely see the possibility he could make a big jump. I just don't put too much stock in it actually happening.

If Hayward stays I suspect Burks, Hood, and Favors become part of a trade package.

It's too bad the Jazz dont have any kind of lottery pick this year or future ones coming up they could package to get someone like Jimmy Butler. I just dont think, that if Butler is on the market, that Burks/Hood/Favors/The Picks we do have would be better than what someone else could probably offer.

Yeah, I feel the same way. If he's part of package that gives the Jazz a more reliable option, I'd be fine with it.

What else could those guys fetch? I just dont see them getting another all-star with those pieces. That is unless you want to sell that group for 1 year of Paul George before he goes to LA.

Hood still has potential to be a star for us, but its look more likely that hes a streaky bench shooter.

His health is a huge concern too.

He's had some great games for us, hit some big shots, and shown a good all around offensive game. If he can become more consistent he might be something special for us.
My guess is that he turns out to be a solid rotation player for us that occasionally has big games, and hit some game winners.

I imagine all 3 of those guys - Burks, Hood, and Favors, will get dangled in trade options but I would be shocked if all 3 were gone next year. In fact, I say no way.
