We need offense, especially in SG..
I'm curious what people see Kennard as?
His measureables both physical and statistical are somewhat comparable to Klay Thompson's (although Klay has a longer wingspan). Kennard actually has fairly shot arms for his size. I don't know about his athleticism, they apparently didn't measure that at his combine.
Klay is a good comparison although Kennard is nowhere near the defender he has become.

It's an awful comp imo... the can both shoot but other than that I see no comp. if klay was kennards size he wouldn't be nearly as effective as a player.
Klay has a quick release and can get his shot off with ease. What does being an inch taller have to do with anything?

Lyles doesn't really do anything at an elite level. You gotta at least be good at something to play in the NBA
Two inches in height 4 inches in wingspan and it equals 5 inches in standing reach.
That's a substantial difference... it's the difference between JJ and Klay. Both shoot the lights out but klay can get more shots off can post up guards and is elite defensively. I think Luke can do more off the dribble but I think his ceiling is JJ with better passing and ball handling. JJ is an okay defender but he worked hard at it.
The guy can be good but I just don't like that comp.
That's what was said about Hayward when he was drafted, and look at him now.
I understand what you're saying. I think Klay on offense is what Kennard could develop into. That's where the comparison starts and ends for me.

Interview with Oregon Ducks Jordan Bell and Dillon Brooks who worked out with the Jazz today

Thornwell said he had the Jazz workout circled as an important workout, one that he needed to do well in. Sounds like he really wants to be a first round pick, hoping to get that stock boosted since the Jazz are one of the few teams with two late first round picks.
I would like having a Frank Martin coached player.
But Hayward had an elite work ethicThat's what was said about Hayward when he was drafted, and look at him now.
I really enjoy his name too... It sounds like he is British Royalty or a hedge fund manager or something.
He is also good at basketball so that's a plus.
