Its a pretty good way to get promoted at my work. Mouth breathing and general incompetence seem to be the golden ticket round here.

I don't think Exum is going to be able to be an effective NBA PnR player without actually getting to do it consistently. There has to be a point where you let a guy play a specific role. right now he is artificially limited by what they allow him to do. He might fail if given a larger workload, but it is anything but certain that he will. his results have been mixed, which makes it possible to see his career going in many directions.
Assuming he works hard this summer, I want him to be put into a primary ballhandling role and let him gain experience next year. If that is with a second team unit, and he also plays off the ball sometimes I'm fine with that. But this idea that he should play as a spot-up shooter (he's not a floor spacer at all) in this offense, yet somehow magically learn how to be a PG is ridiculous. Let him fail or succeed, and if he can't handle being a pg then he's probably not going to be a good NBA player for the Jazz anyway.
If the jazz don't resign Hill, I want Exum to start at pg. the jazz showed they could win consistently with Exum starting, and giving him the the job to start training camp would be huge to his confidence.
He was drafted 5th overall, and its time to give him his shot.
If you give a moment's thought to DL's responsibilities as General Manager, you would realize that he cannot go into next season expecting Exum to be our starting point guard.
Who cares about Exum when Mr. Triple Double is signing right after Hayward does?
Gobert is gonna average like 25 ppl with Westbrook
The substantial growth as a team and in individual players is absolutely something to be proud of. Winning a 1st round series is something to be proud of. The growth in the coaching staff is something to be proud of.
I am not over hurt at getting swept by arguably the best team in the history of the sport. Especially since no one has beaten them and the Jazz did the best. Yes, the Warriors are a problem (a huge one) but I am highly encouraged by the progress of this team.
Now DL needs to do something to push the Jazz even further. Now the hard part begins.
You are changing the narrative. 90% of your post is irrelevant to what was being talked about.
One guy said we have played GS closer than anyone else. That isn't impressive or something to be proud of.
We got our asses kicked. Plain and simple.

And? Jazz had no Hill and a Favors and Gobert that were clearly not 100%. What's your point?
Please?
You think the Jazz can challenge the Warriors without Exum becoming a stud?Give me a break.

The PG/Wing argument is not important. If Dante is the starting PG and still sucks at handling the ball, he's barely going to have the ball. If he improves his handle he'll get the all more regardless of his position.
Dante will get the ball more when he's better with the ball. It wasn't beneficial to have him with the ball versus anyone else. There wasn't a wing or guard on roster that he was a better ball handler than last season. He needs to put a ton of work in at the gym to improve his handle, but he also needs to show some game sense. Dante doesn't seem to have a great feel for the game. He always plays with an agenda, and I don't mean that in a good way.
Plays with an agenda is a little over the top dude. What agenda did he have in his rookie year ? Winning ?
He just hasn't played all that much organised basketball, particularly at the high level. I think he'll still be really good but the combo of his inexperience along with the injury has that timeframe probably not till he's 25-26
