Summer League Notes And Discussion

Could Exum be featured in SL as a way to drum up trade interest? I'm thinking now would be a good time to trade Favors, Exum and picks for an upgrade at PF.

yeah i thought that the way DL talked him up so much that might have been what was going on

Still could happen. I'm waiting for Cleveland to do something. NY wants to move Anthony and go young. Carmelo to Cleveland with Love to Utah? Reunite him with Rubio. Do we have the assets to offer? I'm thinking NY is very happy if they can get cap room and young assets. Favors and Diaw (they save $7M right there), + Exum (or Hood) + next year's #1. Salary wise the trade works.

Jazz would be "all-in" and the talk of the NBA. Small market nobodies suddenly contenders, even in the WC.

Why does Cleveland want to get a worse player than Love and spend more money in the process?

Don't forget Dante's last Summer League game so long ago.

Dante getting more opportunity is a different player than Dante in the Jazz offense.

I fully expect Dante to tear up this SL. I actually would be extremely disappointed and worried if he does not.
I think a lot of people will be disappointed in Dante but will try to talk themselves into thinking he played well. Excuses will be made and whatnot.

I hope I'm wrong. I can't wait till tomorrow to find out.

I somehow doubt Dante doesnt dominate. He dropped 20-5-5 in his last SL game 2 seasons ago.

Yeah and Dante playing against mostly scrubs is a different Dante too.

That was a great game. Had he not got injured I would not have been surprised by him having a bad game in the next one.

I mean there will always be things to pick and choose. I don't expect him to have a bullseye jumper or a tight handle but I fully expect him to be able to take anybody to the rim.

Ya, great way to put it. I guess you are right.

I'd like to see him try some new things, like mid range pull-ups.

thinking he's back at SL again just rubs in what a bummer the injury was.. if he'd got that full second season under his belt as the starter without the pressure to win, could have been a completely different player now. Is it being televised ??
