NBA Free Agency Moves in General (related to the Jazz, but not just moves made by the Jazz)

2yr 17mil for Gay. Player option in year 2. Woj said he wanted to go to a contender and Spurs worked hard over 72 hrs to close the deal.

Ah, they probably shouldn't have.

Gay off the market. Jones returning to Miami.

Does Gay signing impact the Spurs and Simmons?

Jazz are running out of options. It sets the stage for Ainge to crush them in a Crowder trade.

The Jazz didnt want any of these guys. I think the Hayward thing is just a convenient excuse at this point. The Jazz want Crowder and if they cant get him, I think they are better off just standing pat and trying to find a D-League gem.

None of the recent happenings really change anything with Boston/Utah.

Agreed.
James johnson would look good on the jazz though.

That crowder contract is just too good though.

The fact that Miami just cleared room and spent a 2nd pick tells me they have JJ. He isnt going to leave to come to Utah unless they overpay (which would be a mistake).

Another batch of free agents gone. Dennis needs to get on it.
