NBA Free Agency Moves in General (related to the Jazz, but not just moves made by the Jazz)

Not going after Paul George was the dumbest move, maybe ever. He wants to win above all.

George, Hayward, Gobert...thanks Jazz.

Lol. So now you're tilting at George's windmill.

The dumbest mistake was not trading with OKC when they would have offered Durant for Hayward.

Durant, Gobert, George...thanks DL!

After reading though Paul Georges comments it makes me think we should have gone after him. I think he will embrace his time in OKC and if they somehow are competitive with GS(which I doubt they will be, but who knows) he will stick around. He sounds like winning is the most important thing to him and maybe he thinks LA can get him a championship but I think if he felt another team could get him a championship he would stay.

Who knows what Hayward would have done if we traded for PG but if he did stay I think that team could have competed with GS this upcoming year.

Oh well, we will never know and I do think that was far to big of a risk for the Jazz to take but in retrospect I think the risk would have been okay.

This team could win it all...

Rubio(or maybe Hill)/Exum
Hayward/Mitchell
Paul George/Inlges
Favors/JJ
Gobert/Bradley

Well, at this point I am okay with Hayward gone. I think we learned a lot about him and what type of person he is through all of this and im okay with what we got going forward.

Im still hoping for one more trade before the season starts but I might have to settle for a couple simple FA pickups to fill out the roster and see how the team does between the start of the season and the trade deadline.
Paul george is not enough to overcome the love Haywood has for stevens.

I now believe there was nothing the jazz could have done to keep haywood from his true love.

My God, do you ever stop crying like a little bitch?

Anyone who thinks DL didn't go after players like that is an idiot. Utah's assets all had issues in one way or another, whether it be injury concerns or short contracts, or both, Rudy Gobert was the one really valuable asset we had.

Oh, and negged. I usually feel a little bad about negging people, but with you, it just comes so naturally. I think could neg you into the ground with a smile on my face, if Jason allowed it. You suck that much.

I mean, I wouldnt read too much into what he says at an OKC press conference. You expect him to bum everyone out and say that he is out in a year? He said if they make the West conference finals or upset the Warriors he' be crazy to leave. Doubt either of those happen.

WOJ tweeted that the Rockets and Knicks are in talks to bring Melo to the Rockets. Planning out possible paths including 4 team trades. While talks are serious nothing is imminent.

So how would a trio of Paul, Melo and Harden fair? Can Melo convert to a 3rd wheel spot up shooter?

If they land him the Rockets might pass the Lakers as my most hated team.

That team will do well in the regular season. I don't see them pushing warriors and maybe not the Spurs. CP3 is your only decent defender.

It is more than obvious that the Jazz were involved in the Paul George and Jimmy Butler sweepstakes. Favs, Hood, and Burks being injured gave us nothing to trade. That is a far bigger downside to their injuries than last years record.

I found this series of tweets interesting. All about the Jazz cap situation.

https://twitter.com/AlbertNahmad/status/885215772427112448

Jazz have choices with how to structure a Thabo Sefolosha signing (at 2 years, $10.5M) and rest of its roster.

continued-Jazz can retain Diaw + squeeze Sefolosha into last of its cap room with no Neto and renounced Withey cap hold + $4.3M R-MLE available.

continued-Jazz can trade/waive Diaw + sign Sefolosha into cap room with $4M - $7M more (pending Neto and Withey cap hold) + $4.3M R-MLE available.

continued-Jazz can operate above cap + sign Sefolosha with MLE + retain (or trade) Diaw/Neto + re-sign Withey if wanted + rest of MLE + BAE available.

continued-Jazz are currently able to stay above the cap if they want, pending Joe Ingles' signing, b/c Celtics haven’t signed Gordon Hayward yet.

You feel bad begging people? Lol. With how much you neg me, I thought it was getting you off.

[Windhorst] "I think Utah is primed to make a deal here relatively soon that may change the composition of their roster... that may be an informed comment." TBA Podcast 7/12/2017
Saw this on reddit. What do you think this means? We in on the Melo megadeal? Favors gone? Nothing?
