Typical Mayweather fight.....boring. The outcome was never in question.
Mayweather could have ended the fight anytime he wanted after round 6 - he just wanted to make sure McGregor was completely gassed before he went in for the kill.
LOL @ McGregor thinking he could have made a fight of it in the last two rounds. The ref did him a favor.
I mean, any fighter has to say calling the fight before he falls wasnt a good choice. You seem weak if you don't.
When you rewatch the fight you realize just how weak all the punches McGregor landed where. He had one really nice upper-cut in the 1st (maybe 2nd) round, but they were mostly weak jabs.
I expected him to lose worse than he did (partially because I really dont think Mayweather tried, which was smart just to let him tire himself out before going for the kill shots). I just thought there would be more of a sense of danger to the fight, like that anything could happen. The whole thing felt artificial and staged, which should have been expected.
Just imagine if he got in the ring with GGG or anyone else who actually matched his size. It would be ugly.

Fight went about as expected, still fun. In the future I think I'll stick to MMA though, boxing just doesn't do it for me.

It was entertaining but I'll never forget Floyd turning his back to stop the fight - multiple times.
McGregor did better than I thought he would. But I did not like the ref stoppage. Mayweather's historic 50-0 record (he was clearly winning the fight) and McGeggor's effort deserved the KO. McGreggor was rocked but not to the point of damage to himself. Not even close. Ref should have let Mayweather put him on the mat. Let the fight finish naturally.
Other than that much more fun than I expected and had an amazing night.
