I don't either.... but not because of this article at all.
It's the offseason. Everyone is in amazing shape, healthy, and looking like all stars. All fluff pieces.

Favors is thin, healthy and shooting threes, burks is the healthiest he has been in years and is killing it in OTA's, etc etc

What I learned when browsing offseason news for every team: Half of the players in the NBA are due for huge breakout seasons. :D

Minutes are going to be hard to come by for a few players. Looking at the depth at each position it will be interesting to see what Snyder does

PG -

Rubio - Should get plenty of playing time
Exum - Should get all the back up minutes to see if he has a future. I could even see him getting some minutes at the 2.
Neto - IS on an non-guaranteed contract so whether he will be on the team is still in the air.
Mitchell - I could see some experiments to see how he does

SG -

Hood - Should get a lot of minutes here
Mitchell - If summer league says anything he will deserve playing time
Burks - He will deserve some playing time also to see what his value is for the future or to create trade value
Exum - can get playing time here also to see where he plays best

SF -

Ingles - should be the starter but might have some competition.
Sefelosha - He will be deserving of minutes
Hood - could see some minutes here too
Johnson - He is best at the 4 at this point but could play some 3 in certain lineups

PF -

Favors - Is the best option to get a lot of minutes here
Johnson - This will be fun to see him play here but should be on limited minutes
Jerebko - Is also a great option for a stretch 4
Bolomboy - I dont see him playing any. Can he be sent down to the stars if he is still on the roster?

C -

Gobert - Need i say more
Favors - Is also a good fit here too
Udoh - I am excited to see how he fits
Bradley - Have fun on the stars

Must be most excited I feel about Jazz season in last 10 years or so. I just have this gut feeling this team is going to be awesome to watch. Guys already talking about how they like ball movement and defence - what more we as fans can hope for?

This is going to be a very good defensive team with Rubio, Exum, Mitchell, Ingles, Sefalosha, Favors, Gobert. Question is, can Exum, Rubio, Sefalosha and Favors shoot well enough on offense, and can the Jazz score enough points.

But I bet he will. And I bet we see plenty of reckless runs to the basket only to get mired in a defense that saw it coming and collapse on him so he throws up some circus shot then hits the ground. Hopefully when he does play he plays within the offense and is able to hit the 3. Not super hopeful on the first part, but his 3 pt % should be good.

At this point, I guess I'd be surprised if Thabo doesn't start. You don't use elite perimeter defense against second units. And I like how that moves Joe Ingles to 6th man, where his playmaking (along with Iso Joe's) can help when Rubio is taking a breather.

Remember when it was 2011 and the talk of training camp was the second coming of Mehmet Okur??? They had me convinced for a while there. Apparently Billy King was listening to the local media as well, cause he ended up trading for Memo.

***This post is not meant to reflect poorly on Mehmet Okur. He gave his heart, soul, achilles, back, and everything else to the Jazz. Long live Memo!***

Thabo is Raja Bell* 2.0 until he proves otherwise in a game.

*Athletic ability wise, not attitude wise. (Which, I actually think Raja Bell's attitude is defensible, but that's an entire different story.)

Rubio/Exum/Neto
Hood/Mitchell/Burks
Thabo/Ingles/^pick one^
Favors/Johnson/Jerebko
Rudy/Udoh

Ingles will play 1 through 4.
Exum could play 1 through 3 (think Burks, Mitchell, and Exum all on the floor together)

I'm thinking more

Rubio, Mitchell, Neto
Hood, Burks, Exum

Maybe Exum turns into a player this year but I'm not holding my breath.

phew, at this point, if he gets bumped by Burks, then the "bust" label will start running amok. It could definitely happen.

Burks won't be in the regular rotation. He only gets in when Hood is having stomach issues or hurt... which means he will get a chance to shine... at some point.

I don't think Thabo starts. It is better to have lock down defenders on the starters, but Ingles is no slouch there and I think our starting lineup needs his shooting and ball moving. Not a lot of space when Favs and Gobert are playing together.

Thabo was 34.5% on 3s last year, and that bumped up a bit on corner 3s. But I don't know if he is enough of a threat to really open it up for us as a starter. Ingles is desperately needed out there at the beginning of the game, and he is no slouch as a defender.

Sefolosha will definitely get minutes and his expertise on D will make life difficult for opposing wings later in games. He will likely play best with Exum and Mitchell on the second unit.

Would love to see TS as the starting 3. He has shot well enough in the past to do so. I think Jingles is better coming off the bench.

That's why Quin wants to run. There is no Hayward to create something out of nothing. The Jazz generated a measly 8.1 fast break points per game last year. That has to come up if we want to win.
