What's new

Utah Jazz vs Toronto Raptors Tonight at 7pm MST 11/3/2017

Yeah, but Snyder needs to accept Hood for what he is, and forget about turning him into the next Haywood.

I agree with CY(other than last night when he was just wrong) that Hood isn't taking enough 3s. That's because they're trying to turn him into a guy who can penetrate and score. The thing that sucks is he's absolutely capable of getting good looks on penetration, but for some reason doesn't have much touch on those little 5 footers. If he ever did, he'd be a pretty deadly scorer, so I understand why they wanted to try and go in that direction.

For now he needs to be bombing away from 3 land. Same with Jingles. The team as a whole is passing on too many open 3s. I'd like to see Quin make a conscious effort to get the ball to anyone who drains one, and see if they can hit several in a row.

Yeah, they need to take more threes. Anything to turn it over less.

In the games where the defense is dominating, like that one against OKC, I'm almost tempted to believe the Jazz best strategy is to waste twenty seconds and jack up a three. Obviously, that doesn't apply to tonight, the D got crushed.

Flashback Friday...

Blow it up?

Now that we have two superstars is it time to shed some weight and go for the championship gamble?

Favors, Burks, Hood and maybe even Rubio... gone. Accumulate picks, get some young studs/free agents. Shoot for title in 2-4 years.

You can't blow the team up unless you trade Gobert, so you would just be giving away talent and getting smaller returns back (most likely). What, we pick up some mid-late first round picks and pray we draft good players? You know how hard that is? Like what is the gamble? Betting on mid first round picks? Hoping we attract a UFA that we will inevitably have to overpay for? This blowup talk makes no sense.

Glad you're not the GM. This is loser mentality, you don't get better trying to lose. Philly is a very rare case.

Think about what the Jazz could get for Mitchell. Super tempting.

Philly ain't done **** anyway. And they've been god awful for quite a few seasons.

Love Simmons/Embiid if healthy.

Me too. I think everyone does. They might be able manage .500 in that garbage conference.

Still though, they have won 75 games in the past four seasons combined. One of those was a 10-72 season. I don't think the Jazz could afford that literally.

Lmao. You and others actually believe this? So you think they are terrible and yet think another team is going to give you studs for them? Lol

What a frustrating game. Just can't win many games when you make 11 assists as a team. Oh good all days when Stockon alone used to average over 14...Just crazy amount of point blank layups and wide open threes missed. And defense was not that good either. Extremely disappointing. This game was there for taking in 3 quarter and we totally gave it away. Only bright spot today was Mitchell, kid is special and soon will be alpha dog on this teams. Rudy is great but he can't do much on offense unless he gets ball passed to him. Mitchell is different story.

Well with Favors, Hood and Burks playing poorly it hurts the surgical grenade scenario.

He's the 5th option cause he is the worst player on the floor.

He's the fifth option because his natural role is a pick n roll big, but Gobert occupies all that space on the floor so he is reduced to midrange spot up, the dunker's corner, and the occasional corner 3.

He's the 5th option because he isn't good. Period. If Milsap, Boozer, Jefferson, Malone we're on the floor with Gobert they wouldn't be the 5th option.

Ok, so we need to trade him?
